Some sorry, drunken white racist thugs from Edgar County learned a brutal lesson in consequences when they decided a peaceful night of catfish fishing by three black men was just too much for their fragile egos to handle. Spoiler alert: their effort at bullying black men because they didn’t “belong” in their county didn’t go well for them. Yep. They FAFO’d.
On April 3 around 10:45 p.m. at White Oaks Park in Paris, Illinois, Danville Alderman Jaleel Jones and his friends Tajon King and Duane Williams were simply minding their own business, casting lines and enjoying the water like they do regularly.
Then the white trash parade arrived — a beat-up Dodge Ram carrying the Kollman brothers, Jordan J. Kollman, 29, and Jesse L. Kollman, 25, plus their buddy Jayden A. Reynolds. These three geniuses had been drinking and apparently couldn’t stand the sight of peaceful black men relaxing outdoors in “their” county.
They could have rolled up and exchanged pleasantries. Heck, they could have actually been nice and shared a story or two over (yet another) beer. But no…
The racist trio surrounded the fishermen and immediately started hurling racial slurs, acting like they owned the night and the public park. Meanwhile, Jones and his friends did the responsible thing: they tried to de-escalate, calmly saying they’d just pack up and leave to avoid any trouble.
But the bullies weren’t having it. Jordan — the self-appointed hero of the trailer park — grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun out of the truck (reportedly traded for a PlayStation 5, because nothing says “class” like swapping gaming gear for a murder weapon). He fired a shot into the air like some budget action movie reject, then pointed the gun directly at one of the men and threatened to “blow his head off.”
The black guys didn’t beg for their lives, so Jordan decided to shoot more round over their heads. This continued as his brother Jesse cheered him on, urging the idiot to get closer with the shotgun.
These cowards thought they could terrorize three innocent men for the crime of “fishing while black.”
They picked the wrong guys.
Tajon King, who was legally carrying his own 9mm handgun, had tried everything to avoid violence. When the threats turned into an imminent deadly attack, he did what any reasonable person would do: he returned fire in self-defense and put three rounds into Jordan — two to the abdomen and one to the hip. The racist thug went down hard, exactly as he deserved.
The three fishermen then fled safely, called 911, and cooperated fully with police.
Now the would-be killers are facing real justice:
- Jordan Kollman is charged with attempted first-degree murder, hate crime, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He’s being held without bond after his hospital stay.
- Jesse Kollman faces attempted murder and hate crime charges for egging on the attack.
- Jayden Reynolds was arrested for mob action.
Kudos to Jaleel Jones, Tajon King, and Duane Williams. They showed remarkable restraint by trying to walk away from these racist clowns. When the thugs kept escalating and threatened to execute them over nothing, the fishermen stopped the attack the only way left.
