I received this email this morning, which included the video that shook me to my core.  The above screen grab captured one of the muzzle flashes of the perp unloading a magazine, full-auto, towards the cops.  He not only killed a police officer, but one of his accomplices as well.  Yes, for the record, that’s a damn shame that he killed his buddy too.  Too bad he didn’t get the other accomplice too.

Chicago cops are so reticent to use deadly force against bad guys refusing to comply with commands and instead giving furtive movements because they’re scared that they’ll get fired and maybe prosecuted as a political scapegoat.  This reluctance to use deadly force against a grossly non-compliant suspect got this officer killed.  COPA will still probably blame the now-deceased officer for not using verbal de-escalation.

Officer Martinez would probably have given the residents of Chicago an entire career of helping people and making the world a better place.  He would have given his parents grandchildren and helped leave the world a better place than he found it.  Now he’s dead and the dirtbag who shot him will get 15 years in prison – as a rock star who smoked a cop –  before he’s released to try for an encore performance.

Here’s the commentary that came with the email, cleaned up a little.  Not sure if it’s the sender’s thoughts  or someone from elsewhere but they sum things up succintly.

My source says the officer is a 26 yr old male with 3 years on the job. RIP officer Alex Martinez.
He won’t be the last killed in the line of duty in Chiraq.
We had to get our semi-auto rifles out of state, but hood rats with illegal machine guns get a pass by the utterly corrupt “just us” system in Shitcago. DOZENS of Glock switches confiscated every week w/o a slap on the wrist, but heaven help you if you’ve got a flash hider on a rifle.
So true.
Don’t forget, Mayor Birdbrain wants to cut $75M from the police budget and eliminate 750 more police officers…  as if being 1800 cops short of authorized strength isn’t bad enough already.
