Los Angeles County residents can sleep so much safer this Easter with the knowledge that a rogue LA County Sheriff’s Department Deputy was arrested and charged with felonies for possessing an AR-15 and some tracer-style ammunition. No, it wasn’t a full-auto gun. It was simply a police patrol-type rifle. America’s favorite rifle, in fact.
What’s more, the gun was found during a search warrant of the officer’s home three years ago!
Yup, you read that right. George Gascon, one of Soros’ prosecutors famous for not prosecuting bad guys, dropped the hammer on this sheriff’s department veteran.
Can you spell “war on police?” I thought so.
A deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has been charged with unlawfully possessing an AR-15 assault rifle and tracer ammunition, officials announced Wednesday.
Deputy Brad Garmon was charged with one felony count each of possession of an assault weapon and possession of a destructive device, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The unregistered AR-15 and incendiary ammunition were discovered while authorities were executing a search warrant at Garmon’s home in April 2020, according to the DA’s office.
“While I support the rights afforded to use under the Second Amendment, I also respect the laws of our state. It is illegal to possess an AR-15 assault rifle in California and I expect everyone, including sworn officers, to follow the law,” DA George Gascón said in the release. “These weapons have repeatedly led to massive loss of life across this and I fully intend to enforce the ban in Los Angeles.”
He expects everyone to follow the law. But he thinks he gets to pick and chose which laws to enforce and to whom to enforce them against. And while he seems reluctant to prosecute those rioting and burning down the city, he’s got no problem with going above and beyond for a deputy. Good work.

April 5, 2023: Sheriff’s Deputy Charged With Unlawfully Possessing Assault Rifle
Contact:Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Garmon has been charged with unlawfully possessing an assault rifle and tracer ammunition at his home.
“While I support the rights afforded to us under the Second Amendment, I also respect the laws of our state. It is illegal to possess an AR-15 assault rifle in California and I expect everyone, including sworn officers, to follow the law,” District Attorney Gascón said. “These weapons have repeatedly led to massive loss of life across this nation and I fully intend to enforce the ban in Los Angeles.”
Garmon (dob 3/24/78) was charged in case BA513776 with one felony count each of possession of an assault weapon and possession of a destructive device. Arraignment will be scheduled for a later date.
The case was filed for warrant on April 4.
As part of an investigation, a search warrant was served at Garmon’s home on April 8, 2020. An unregistered AR-15 assault rifle and incendiary ammunition were found in a closet.
The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s Internal Criminal Investigations Bureau.

Brad Garmon should have moved out of California if he liked the AR-15 that much. It’s not like law enforcement jobs are difficult to get in this day and age.
And George Gascon? Stage 4 cancer would be a fate too good for this radical.
