A wonderful young mother and Chicago police officer was murdered Saturday night at a traffic stop. Her partner was nearly murdered as well. The man who tried to murder both cops reportedly was sentenced to probation on a 2019 armed robbery arrest arrest. Does Mayor Lori Lightfoot, or “Groot” as the police officers there have nicknamed her, blame the felon who tried to murder both cops?
Nope. Mayor “I’ve got a soft spot for violent criminals” Lori Lightfoot blames the gun. As if the gun just decided to start killing people on its own.
Some say we don’t do enough for the police. Others say we do too much. All of this must stop.
