concealed-carry

Shannon Watts, aka Shannon Troughton, President and owner of of VoxPop Public Relations, a boutique liberal PR firm, says that concealed carry licenses saving lives are just a myth.  “This has never happened. Data shows it doesn’t happen,” she told one interviewer.

Yeah well, don’t tell that to Tom Chapin.

Investigators credit conceal-carry permit for saving man’s life

GRANITE CITY, IL (KTVI) – Investigators say a man with a conceal carry permit was able to defend himself against armed robbers. Police believe his weapon helped save his life

“I was nervous. You don’t know where the bullets are flying. You hear this everyday. People just sitting on the porch and shot and killed, just from the wild fire,” said resident Tom Chapin.

Some Granite City residents are still in shock after police say a man sitting in his car in the 2500 block of Revere’s Route Early Friday morning was approached by an armed robber.

The victim was dropping off a friend after work when the suspect attempted to rob him. He was able to defend himself by firing his concealed weapon at the robber. Detectives say the victim’s action saved his life.

The suspect was stopped in his tracks. The suspect is now hospitalized.

  1. You never know when something might happen. I had just gotten into my car, sat down, fastened my seatbelt when someone knocked on the window. It was a homeless guy who rolled up on a bike and completely surprised me. Fortunately I had the presence of mind to hit my locks and wave him off, while thinking of my carry piece. Fortunately, he really only wanted a hand out and went away, but I couldn’t help but think how easily that could have been a robber catching me completely off guard. Practice awareness, think through scenarios, always be ready.

  2. I would bet a Benjamin that lil Shannon and her hubby own guns for self-defense. She is nothing more than a paid prostitute of Bloomberg.
