Americans aren’t stupid.  They see what’s going on around them and are voting with their wallets when it comes to safety.

July Gun Sales Crush Previous Record

Record gun sales streak continues unabated

(Free Beacon) – The number of gun-related background checks performed in July far exceeded those of any previous July, newly released numbers from the FBI show.

The National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, processed nearly 2.2 million checks last month. That represents an increase of almost 600,000 checks over the previous record set last year. It is also an increase of more than a million checks over July 2011.

The July record is the latest in a string of 15 record-setting months for firearm background checks. July also saw an increase over June’s numbers as the gun industry’s seasonal lull comes to an end.

2016 gun sales are up 33% over last year – which was the largest year for gun sales, ever.

Keep in the back of your mind that those numbers don’t count multiple purchases.

Since Barack Hussein took office, Americans have purchased 145.7 million guns, making him the Gun Salesman of the Century.   Since 1999, Americans have purchased 241 million+ guns.

Meanwhile, Barack Hussein has busied himself releasing federal prisoners, including those with gun sentences.  You can bet those gun crimes weren’t illegal possession of certain types of guns by otherwise law-abiding citizens.   No, they are drug dealers and criminals who had guns in the commission of other felony crimes.  But that’s just President Stompyfeet.

WASHINGTON (USA Today) — President Obama commuted the sentences of 214 more federal inmates Wednesday, the largest single-day grant of commutations in the nation’s history.

With 562 total commutations during his presidency — most of which have come in the past year —Obama has now used his constitutional clemency power to shorten the sentences of more federal inmates than any president since Calvin Coolidge.

The early release of the 214 prisoners, mostly low-level drug offenders, is part of Obama’s effort to correct what he views as unreasonably long mandatory minimum sentences. Some date back decades, including 71-year-old Richard L. Reser of Sedgwick, Kan., who was given a 40-year sentence for dealing methamphatamine and firearm possession in 1989. He’ll be released Dec. 1.

And pardons to restore gun rights?

Yeah, right!

Critics also say the commutations have come at the expense of traditional pardons, which are more useful to former offenders looking for jobs or seeking to restore their voting or gun rights. Former Pardon Attorney Deborah Leff resigned earlier this year because she said the administration wasn’t devoting enough resources to the issue, and because her recommendations were often overruled.

  1. Bed wetting Democrat gun grabbers talk about banning guns.

Freedom-loving Americans respond by pulling out their wallets and buying guns.

If these gun grabbing Democrats weren’t low-information types (like the voters in gerrymandered districts that elected them), they would shut up about gun control laws and Americans would go back to buying a mere half-million guns a month, instead of 2-million plus.

    Dumbasses.

  2. 145.7 Million guns purchased since Treasonous Barack took office – the people have spoken.

  3. I’ve bought one or two since the Kenyan took office.

And I’ve personally helped at least four or five more outside of my family into gun ownership.
