I’m speechless at the vapid, feeble-mindedness of the social justice warriors at Apple over their premeditated murder of the handgun emoji.

It makes me feel good that I’ve never purchased Apple products.

Kimberly Kaye over at Legal Insurrection writes this up better than I could ever do so:

Social Justice Warriors killed an emoji (the irony is not lost on me), because they’re known for tackling the important things in life.

Apple has replaced its pistol emoji with a less threatening water gun. Because using a water gun in a text message is less threatening?  …SO PROGRESSIVE.

According to CNN Money, the SJWs also refused a proposal to roll out an Olympic target rifle emoji.  Why?  It was too threatening to bed-wetting leftists.

…Unicode Consortium members Apple and Microsoft argued against the Olympics-inspired gun, according to Buzzfeed.

And then CNN trots out cases where bed-wetting voters elected bed-wetting prosecutors who try to charge people with crimes based upon silly characters…

The pistol and other weapon emojis have landed people in trouble with the law. A 12-year-old in Virginia was charged after allegedly threatening her school in an Instagram post that used a gun, knife and bomb emoji. A teen in Brooklyn was arrested for posting a police emoji with pistol emojis pointing at his head. The charges were later dropped.

A French court ruled a pistol emoji could constitute a death threat, sentencing a man to three months in prison for texting the gun to his ex-girlfriend.

Now that’s a gun control utopia:  Sending a person to prison for a PICTURE of a gun.

And then we’ve got some group of extra-special snowflakes in New York who not only try to take away our constitutional rights, but they also take on those scary emojis.

Last year, an organization called New Yorkers Against Gun Violence started a campaign to get Apple to replace its version of the pistol emoji. It launched a site, disarmtheiphone.com, and sent an open letter to remove the firearm emoji “as a symbolic gesture to limit gun accessibility.”

Symbolism over the substance of putting violent criminals in prison for a long time.  That’s the gun control movement.

  1. Put me down as a non-Apple person. They have always been a bastion of unicorn fart-powered liberal utopia make-believe.

  2. Wow. Will they tackle world hunger next, or just stop at thoughts of hunger?
