Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has unilaterally banned whole classes of firearms from sale in the Bay State, with an edict she issued Wednesday, July 20th.

Healey’s directive to gun manufacturers clarifies the definition of “copy.” Under Healey’s definition, if a gun’s operating system is the same as that of a banned weapon or it has components that are interchangeable with those in a banned weapon, the gun will be illegal to sell in Massachusetts.
Translation:
You know that Remington 1100 and 1187 shotgun? Under her new “interpretation”, they are copies of scary black guns and therefore illegal to sell in Taxachusetts.

The directive specifically outlines two tests to determine what constitutes a “copy” or “duplicate” of a prohibited weapon. If a gun’s operating system is essentially the same as that of a banned weapon, or if the gun has components that are interchangeable with those of a banned weapon, it’s a “copy” or “duplicate,” and it is illegal. Assault weapons prohibited under our laws cannot be altered in any way to make their sale or possession legal in Massachusetts.
Little Miss Healey, in her infinite benevolence, has decreed that existing owners of these guns can keep them.
For now.
That won’t last though.
It never does.
She’ll wait until the furor over this dies down before she pokes the sleeping bear again, while in the meantime proudly pretending to support and defend our civil rights.

Far left Democrats love to conceal their true agenda.
They lie. It’s what they do.
Especially around election time when it comes to guns and gun rights. “We’re not coming for your guns,” they say. “We respect your Second Amendment rights,” they say before then adding a “but” and then, as Hillary has done so aggressively of late, explained to us how the Heller Supreme Court decision was wrong.
Those gun hating members of the party of gun control won’t be happy until they take all guns. Then they’ll come for bows and arrows and then knives. Followed by sharp sticks and pointy rocks. All for our safety.
You probably don’t care because it’s “crazy Massachusetts”, but folks, if they try it successfully in one jurisdiction, they’ll try it in another. Illinois, we might remind you, has exactly one branch of government controlled by a pro-gun politician: our governor.
The Illinois Attorney General rabidly hates guns rights for the little people. The Illinois House and Senate are run by bitterly anti-gun tyrants. The Illinois Supreme Court leans sharply Democrat.
