Bryce Dejean-Jones learned a hard lesson when he went to see the mother of his one-year-old daughter in Dallas.

Dejean-Jones was estranged from his girlfriend / mother of his child, and showed up at what he thought was her apartment at 3:30am.

Not getting any answer when he knocked, he began banging on the door, becoming enraged that the ex-girlfriend didn’t answer.

“One thing led to another” as his agent was quoted as saying, and he kicked in the front door.  The homeowner warned the intruder to leave from behind a locked bedroom door.

Dejean-Jones kicked in the bedroom door.  The homeowner saw the 6′ 6″, 206-pound man in the doorway and shot the intruder.

The freshly perforated basketball star stumbled out of the apartment and bled out in the breezeway.

He might have been a good basketball player, but Bryce Dejean-Jones certainly wasn’t raised a decent human being.

The NBA commissioner called Dejean-Jones’ death a tragedy.  The real tragedy might have been if he’d found the intended apartment.

But we probably wouldn’t have read about that in the national media.
