On Saturday evening, according to police, Dracy “Clint” Pendleton shot a Mahomet police officer.  The officer took a hit in the arm, and Pendleton may be known as “stubby” henceforth as there’s talk that he may have lost a finger in the gun battle.

It’s not his first rodeo with police as cops released an earlier booking photo of the man:

He’s believed to be in a white GMC 2500 pickup truck from Mid-America Sand & Gravel with the number 30070 on the doors.   He may be seeking medical aid.

The license plate is believed to be 165533B.  He’s believed to be armed with an AK-47.  If you see Stubby or the truck, even if it’s parked and unoccupied, call 911 or Crimestoppers in Champaign if you want to get yourself in on a cash reward.  217-373-8477.

A woman in Decatur was killed in a crash with an Illinois State Trooper responding to a report that Stubby might be headed to I-72 from Route 47.

The News-Gazette has a whole series of stories about the incident.
