Isn’t it curious how so many people who oppose Second Amendment rights are quick to oppose First Amendment protections as well.
Far from standing up to defend another’s rights or freedoms, so-called “progressives” often are quick to censor.
In other words, they seek tyranny to “protect” society from that which they deem offensive.
It’s on full display as Bruce L. Rockwood, a college professor emeritus of legal studies at Bloomsburg, PA University condemns a newspaper for giving the NRA’s Chris Cox a forum to express his opinion, comparing Chris Cox to the Taliban. You would think Bruce L. Rockwood was a professor at Bloomberg University with that quaint thinking. He’s certainly an Obamaphile.
Let’s cut to the chase. Professor Bruce L. Rockwood is a leftist crank. If you have any doubt he’s a moonbat read his piece from the Portland Press Herald:
Another View: Paper exercised poor judgment in running pro-gun rights op-ed
An NRA official’s column unfairly blamed underfunded mental health programs for tragic firearm deaths.
by Bruce L. Rockwood
It is unseemly for the Press Herald to run an op-ed piece by Chris Cox, the National Rifle Association’s hatchet man for gun rights, seeking to pass the blame for recent and continuing tragic gun deaths on to the underfunded mental health programs of the state and nation (“Commentary: Exploiting tragedy to demand more gun control impedes real solutions,” Sept. 15).
…You might as well run an op-ed piece by a Taliban spokesman blaming terrorism on lack of mental health care in Afghanistan as run this piece.
Ah, comparing the National Rifle Association to the Taliban.
Does it take one to know one, Mr. Bruce L. Rockwood?
Where did you find your degrees at, Bruce L. Rockwood? A box of Cracker Jacks, perhaps?
