Some at Harbor Freight Tools social media division stepped on a landmine last week when they replied to a customer inquiry and claimed their policy on guns was for customers to leave them in their cars.

The reaction was swift and almost universal in condemning the “please leave your guns in your car” position articulated by someone who probably no longer works for Harbor Freight.

On Friday, Harbor Freight posted a “clarification” that completely tossed the earlier “policy” into the dumpster.

Obviously this “clarification” was much better received by their customers.

  1. The finest “Made in China” stuff that’s fit to sell.

Great “affordable” tools for the weekend warrior.

For the professional wrench-turner, not so much.

I’ve got some HF stuff and am glad I don’t have to add them to my personal “won’t go there” list of stores.
