Here’s one for the low-information politician files…

Democrat Missouri Rep. Joshua Peters (pictured above) introduced a bill to ban a host of guns commonly used for self-defense, effectively pricing meaningful self-defense outside that of many of his minority constituents in the north end of St. Louis.  This is the same thing racist legislatures in the southern states did following the Civil War to keep guns out of the hands of recently-freed, cash-poor former slaves.

Yes, you read right.  A black man seeking to restrict the rights of his fellow black man.  The Klan couldn’t be prouder.

And good old Joshua Peters has got the cajones to call his bill the “Protecting the Second Amendment Act”.

What a sanctimonious S.O.B.

571.520. 1. This section shall be known and may be cited as the “Protecting the Second Amendment Act”.

2. No person residing in a city not within a county shall own, possess, manufacture, transport, repair, or sell:

(1) A shotgun;
(2) A short-barreled or sawed-off rifle;
(3) An automatic handgun; or
(4) A flamethrower. For purposes of this section, the term “flamethrower” shall mean a mechanical incendiary device designed to project a long controllable stream of fire.

Peters has now withdrawn the hare-brained proposal, citing caustic death threats he’s received since introducing the bill.

Yeah, right.

We’re going to go ahead and call Democrat State Representative Joshua Peters a lying sack of amphibian dung.

Instead of receiving death threats, maybe the Missouri representative from a district in St. Louis is merely an attention whore and he knew his bill stood about a snowball’s chance in hell of passing.

So instead of going down in miserable defeat for his moonbat proposal, he decides to feed the complicit media some line of fecal matter about alleged death threats.

Nevermind that death threats made against politicians are usually death with harshly and expeditiously.

Nah, this guy didn’t get any death threats.

He’s just a political hack and this is just a political stunt to excite his low-information voter base.  He should be tarred and feathered for his scurrilous allegations, not held up as some sort of victim in the media.

  1. They must have a really bad problem with privately owned flame throwers down in Missouri.

  2. I could see his situation – with all those automatic handguns in St. Louis. But when did the feds allow Glock 18’s?
