Scoundrels.

The only thing needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

Mistaken identity brings threats to Pastor Zimmermann

(USA Today) – George A. Zimmermann, a retired pastor in Florida, has received death threats meant for the man acquitted in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Tough talking bullies?

A mother alone?

Deterrence requires

more than a phone.

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has launched a petition to “publicly repudiate Ted Nugent’s racist rhetoric” and have him kicked off of the NRA’s board of directors.

The “Cat Scratch Fever” rocker called Martin a “17-year-old dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe” in a column for conservative media website Rare. Nugent continued to say, “The only racism on that night was perpetrated by Trayvon Martin, and everybody knows it.”

Gun Control Group Wants Ted Nugent Removed From NRA Board After Racist Comments

(US News) – The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has launched a petition to “publicly repudiate Ted Nugent’s racist rhetoric” and have him kicked off of the NRA’s board of directors.

Stuff it.  Travyon was a dope smoking, racist, gangsta wannabe – and quite possibly a dope dealer and burglar as well.  An upstanding hoodlum.

Last time we checked, they had 1600 signatures on their national petition.  Out of 280 million Americans and 40 million illegals in this nation.

More people than that used the public restroom at our local Wal-mart yesterday.

The power the CSGV commands is vacuous.

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn Scoundrel

Governor Quinn tries to blackmail the legislature by withholding salaries.  Isn’t that like, criminal or something?

My Representative (thanks to a gerrymandered district) Chad Hays has a excellent op-ed in the News-Gazette.

Quinn’s circus stunt remindful of Blagojevich

By Chad Hays

At times in the dizzying 24-hour news cycle world we accept silliness and theatrics without contemplating the long-term impact on our form of government.

Gov. Pat Quinn recently suspended pay for state legislators until a pension reform bill is in place. Most understand that this is a thinly veiled publicity maneuver. The tactic, however, has far-reaching and dramatic implications for the very foundation of our democracy.

I have unwavering and absolute faith in the voters of the 104th District. They alone decide every two years whether or not I am doing a good job of representing their interests and either send me back to Springfield or send me home. I honor and respect their decision win or lose. It is an incredible system that deserves to be valued. The voters alone decide whether or not I am paid to be their representative, not the governor.

Today the issue is pension reform. What will the issue be tomorrow in terms of threatening the people’s duly elected representatives? Will it be bullying them into accepting the temporary tax increase as permanent because the governor declares that to be the new “crisis”?

What would downstate voters think if the governor had decided to hold hostage your legislator until he/she came around to his way of thinking on the right to carry issue? The truth is that one can insert any issue here, from any political point of view, and the conclusion is still the same.

The precedent that this type of blackmail represents is reprehensible and has no place in the governance model held up as the gold standard around the world.

There’s more…  it’s darn near epic!

Black Congressman scoundrel

…On black mob violence

Congressman: Don’t make the “black kids angry.”

(White Girl Bleed a Lot) – Kansas City is the scene of frequent and intense black mob violence often centered around the upscale shopping area called The Plaza.

For three years, city officials have talked and talked and talked about how to stop it.

Some city officials say cracking down on the black mob violence is unfair because it targets black people.

But check out what the former mayor of Kansas City said.

Don’t make thugs angry?

Yeah, generally good advice.  But bullies of any stripe tend to be more respectful if they know there’s a price for being anti-social.

  1. I am an NRA member and the members voted to elect him to the Board. If the “coalition” wants him kicked off, enough of them are going to have to become NRA Life Members to vote him out.
