Not even the supposedly “safe” parts of the city are “safe”.

In fact, the “safe” areas of Chicago are prime hunting grounds for iPhone thieves and black teens looking to beat white folks.

When even big, burly off-duty Chicago cops aren’t safe from the gangs of youth prowling the streets, average tourists don’t stand a prayer against the groups of roving “bash” mobs:

A 15-year-old Florida girl was punched when she tried to help a 51-year-old Michigan woman being robbed Friday night on the Mag Mile by eight juveniles, officials said.

Two 15-year-old girls, a 14-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl, three 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with robbery, police said.

Second City Cop says the arrested youths were all black.

All of the offenders, even though it wasn’t mentioned in the article, were black. We checked.

The initial victims of the robbery?  Tourists in town for less than four hours before they found themselves victims of the violent crime.

Welcome to Chicago — Now give me that iPhone

(Tribune) – Two visitors to Chicago received a rude welcome to the city Friday when one was robbed by a group of city teens and the other was punched while trying to help, officials said.

The two visitors – a 15-year-old Florida girl and a 51-year-old Michigan woman – were both walking on the Mag Mile Friday evening when the older woman was robbed of her iPhone by a group of eight juveniles, officials said.

The woman who was robbed, who wanted to be identified only by her first name Tammy and did not want her hometown published, said she was visiting Chicago to see relatives and to run the  Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon Sunday. She checked into a hotel and she, her sister, and their 70-year-old mother went out shopping.

We hope you and your family have heeded our warnings not to travel to Chicago for vacation or business.  If you ignore our sage advice, you can easily find yourself becoming another statistic.

It’s worth noting that victims of wilding attacks are getting off lucky.  They’ll go home, albeit with lots of bumps and bruises.

Not everyone is so lucky.  A state senator’s brother-in-law met a

(WGN TV) – The brother-in-law of State Senator Napoleon Harris was murdered on Chicago’s South Side Thursday night.

Police say someone fired several shots at Andre Bunton as he sat in his car in the South Loop.

At least one hit him in the chest, killing him.

Friends say Bunton was driving a brand-new Mustang, and someone may have tried to carjack him.

The Sun-Times had this little tidbit (emphasis added):

Friends and family said they were shocked by what they called “senseless violence” and the death of a man soon to be a new father.

Now you can’t even feel comfortable and safe anywhere,” Jonathan Harris said

No kidding, Sherlock.

The total body count?

Six dead.  23 wounded… including a 6-year-old girl.

(Sun-Times) – Six men were killed and at least 23 people — including a 6-year-old girl — were wounded in shootings across the city since Friday night.

Right-to-carry can’t come to Illinois soon enough.

  1. And chicago’s answer? Congressman bobby rush is having a summit on how to curb violence. I also heard this morning that rahm and his gang want to pass a county ordinance that would deny business licenses to any business that would refuse to put up a no guns allowed sign at their entrance as a way to side step the new carry law

    1. There is a story for you to look into john. Flat out discrimination by cook county against any business that would allow their customers their constitutional right to carry and defend theirself. Who cares if they could create jobs and help the economy. Just like chik filet, it doesn’t fit the “chicago values”.

  2. Bobby Rush? You mean the guy who raised a big stink about gangbangers being arrested because it violated their civil rights?
