This particular scumbag shot a good samaritan who was “interfering” with the armed robbery he was committing, per police reports. We can’t say he was guilty, because he hasn’t been convicted for the 432nd time yet.
After his arrest, he snickers as he’s led out from his first court appearance.
(Chi Tribune) – A parolee shot another man in the back across the street from Wrigley Field when the man tried to interfere with a robbery, authorities say.
Marcus E. Harris, 26, of the 1400 block of South Canal Street, is charged with aggravated battery, obstructing identification and attempted armed robbery.
Appearing in court today — his face tattooed with a White Sox logo, a tear and other designs — a judge set bail at $900,000. He snickered at deputies as he was led away.
…The 25-year-old victim told police he was walking down the street a short time later and saw Harris try to rob the third man. The victim yelled to Harris, “What are you doing?” according to Assistant State’s Atty. Lorraine Scaduto.
Harris replied, “Mind your own business” and fired at the victim, hitting him in the back.
Don’t go to Chicago for business or vacations. It’s not worth the risk.
Chicagos dirty secret is that this punk has been through the system over and over. He knows theres no big punishment for such behavior, and even if he gets a judge who wants to lock him up for a long time, he wont be there too long! While there he can get his teeth fixed, sleep all day, and enjoy the fun of slightly different sex than he was getting on the outside. The inmates run the asylum! Theres no place to put these punks, and theres no real deterrent to be locked up. I can only hope that once Illinois citizens are able to legally defend themselves with a gun, that these guys learn a new trade…
If this fool can get three more counts against him he’ll have more legal counts than we have representatives in the US House of Representatives. Remember when the repeat offender act was going to protect our families from thugs like this. Stop the madness..
