Hailey H. looks back towards mom and dad after shooting at the 2nd Annual DeWitt County Sportsmen’s Club Zombie Shoot on Saturday, October 26th.

Is it any wonder gun rights supporters are winning the culture war against gun control advocates?

When was the last time you saw someone this happy at a gun control rally?

(Now, we just have to work with her on rule #2:  Keep your cotton-pickin’ finger off the cotton-pickin’ trigger until you’ve decided to fire!)

  1. Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed the her cotton pickin’ finger! But hey, a little training and a lot of reminding will fix that soon enough. But still, that smile is so darn cute and genuine that my heart just melted a little. Happiness is a warm gun!

  2. Can’t quite make out the text on the side, but it looks like it might be an M&p 15-22…Which is a great gun, I have both that and the bigger 15T I use for hunting/predator calling.

22 rifles are the best to start with as no recoil, cheap to shoot and just a great gun for any age.

    1. I hardly shoot my .22’s anymore.. can’t ever find ammo for them.
9×18 Makarov ammo is easier to find.

    2. Can confirm that this is a M&P 15-22 by the ejection port. I love it too, but wish I could shoot it more. .22 LRs are hard to come by these days!

    3. gunbot.net has ammo (little pricey at times, but i have found it for as cheap as 6 cents a round. For a 500 pack generally comes out to anywhere from $24-36$ (still pretty cheap), but have to throw shipping in, so usually good to get a few other items to even the cost out.

  3. I couldn’t make the zombie shoot this year – but I had a great time last year. Please do it again next year.

As far as 22LR – if you are willing to pay the price, it is available on line. Also, Darnall’s in Bloomington may have some available for people who use it at their range.

    1. I prefer the good old bricks that use to be 12.99 or so…should have pickedup few hundred dollars worth of them then hah. I do have a stash of about 1500, + 800 some .223 rounds. I just grab some when I see em as I like going shooting once every week or so and go through 100-200 rounds in each gun

    2. I know of a guy that has been able to accumulate over 8,000 rounds of .22 at Wally World prices in the last 8-9 months.
He also picked up over 4,000 rounds of 5.56/.223 for WW prices.

  4. Yea. And I have a friend who lost a lot in a —————————– You guessed it , a boating accident …..–“”– –“”–
