Couric

(PJ Media) – The backlash continues for Katie Couric and her merry band of gun-controlling propagandists. The outrage began when it was revealed that Couric and co. edited an exchange between a gun rights group and Miss Katie. The Couric crew inserted 8 seconds of silence following an “exchange” between Couric and group members that made the gun rights folks appear to be speechless and ashamed when asked a question about background checks.

But the accusations of bias turned more serious when the possibility of illegal firearms purchases was also raised.

The good folks over at Ammoland found a video of “Under the Gun” producer Stephanie Soechtig describing how easy it was to purchase a “Bushmaster” and three other pistols in the parking lot of a Wendy’s. “It’s perfectly legal,” said Soechtig.

No so much, Mizz Soechtig.

The NSSF makes a good case of multiple felonies, not only upon the actual “purchaser” but also by production staff who dreamed up this flawed plan.  The Obama regime’s Department of Injustice will never prosecute, though.

For that reason, based on statements made in a videotaped interview, we have to point out that it would appear that a producer of the Katie Couric documentary “Under the Gun” committed at least four federal felonies, one for each firearm he appears to have illegally purchased since the individual was not a resident of Arizona where he purchased the firearms. He may have also violated state criminal statutes. And, If Ms. Soechtig, the film’s director, sent him to Arizona to make these firearms purchases, as the tape appears to suggest, she may be guilty of engaging in a conspiracy to violate federal firearms laws and/or aiding and abetting the commission of these crimes her producer engaged in. We also have to ask what, if any, involvement did Ms. Couric as executive producer have in these purchases? The NSSF calls upon the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Forearms and Explosives (ATF) to open a criminal investigation into this important matter.

  1. FOUR! Don’t we have a three strikes and you’re out law?

Special liberals never get prosecuted though.

  2. If the Obama regime didn’t prosecute Black Panthers standing outside polling places with clubs to ensure 105% voter turnout and 105% of the votes for the jug-eared Kenyan, they sure as hell aren’t going to prosecute the pert Katie Couric.

I bet a TRUMP administration would enforce the rule of law for all, not just the “unfavored”.

    TRUMP: Make America Great again.

    1. When Trump becomes president, the statute of limitations on these felonies will still be WIDE OPEN!

He may have his NEW DOJ indict at their pleasure.

      It’ll be so sweet!

  3. It’s going to be tougher for Trump to get elected if he keeps getting bashed by the RINO’s…
Mark Kirk came out and “un-endorsed” Trump the other day for example, in a desperate ploy to boost his own support among Democrats.

The anti-Trump crowd is going to hand the White House to Hillary, then we’ll all be in a world of sh*t.

  4. Mark Kirk’s non-endorsement is meaningless, just like his campaign.

Tammy Duckworth will take his seat by 10+ points.

I know I won’t be voting for him. Better a Tammy Duckworth than a brain-damaged RINO.

    John

  5. Well you know that they will not do anything to these people.

After all Hillary Clinton is still running around loose out there.

  6. Since these are felonies, we don’t need ATF of local PD to do anything. We can take them into custody ourselves. If anyone knows the address’s of Ms. Soechtig and Ms. Couric, please post them. We have done this before.

    1. I think it is far more likely that they made up a phony story about sending a producer from CO to AZ to make gun purchases without going through a FFL dealer. Who is going to risk a felony charge by really doing it, especially after Soechtig tells the world openly that it happened? Call Soechtig and her associates out for fabricating a phony news story instead. The fact that no arrest was made shows that they didn’t conduct the experiment, and therefore lied to their audiences. End of the line for their credibility, and they’ll drag the entire anti-Second Amendment camp down with them.

    2. Bill Levinson, don’t forget that bloomie had his minions use the exact same tactics all up and down the Mid-Atlantic, and with the same ‘intentions’. How many of them ended up getting charged? And let’s not forget that Gregory person in deecee, no charges there either. Libs will likely always get a free pass when they use the ‘higher good’ excuse…………..

  7. Just get on talk radio, social media, and in letters to the editor and say that Soechtig engaged in false journalism by making up a story about her producer buying guns in Arizona. The fact that nobody was arrested proves that she and her cohorts made up a phony documentary, cheated of their money everybody who paid to see it (it’s still for sale on Vudu, use the phrase “consumer fraud”), and cheated the Sundance Film Festival if they entered this phony documentary in any kind of competition.

What are they going to do, offer proof that their producer did in fact purchase guns without a background check in another state? This is why I do not believe they really did this; nobody would be stupid enough to set himself up for a long jail sentence by actually violating Federal gun laws.
