Gun rights activists aren’t single-dimensional people.  We’re real Americans who love baseball, apple pie, America’s favorite rifle and all things American – including volunteering to help others in need and worthy causes.

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson, IL is honored to have been selected as a 2016 National Comcast Cares Day partner for a spectacular day of volunteerism on the largest single day volunteer effort in the United States.  It’s the third year in a row TPOC has earned this distinction.

Comcast donates financial support for each volunteer in attendance.  Hence we need you, and your family, to come out on Saturday, April 30th for a day of helping others.

From the Easter Seals of Central Illinois website:

Owned and operated by Easter Seals Central Illinois, accredited by the American Camp Association, and located on the shoreline of Lake Bloomington, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is the premier resource in the state of Illinois for providing specialized outdoor recreational, experiential and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses in a fun, safe and accessible environment.

In addition to these inclusive programs, we offer integrated programming for typically-developing siblings and peers.  Whatever the need, it is said that Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is a magical place serving some of the neatest people in the world.

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center offers programs throughout the year.  Summer programming, in particular, gives way to many opportunities for children and adults.  Over 1,200 participants will attend on or more programs in a given summer.  These programs include Easter Seals residential and day programs, Adventure Day Camp, contracted partner groups and rental groups.

Each session includes traditional camp activities such as swimming, fishing, hiking, canoeing, a pontoon boat ride, arts & crafts, target sports, barnyard animals, high ropes, zip-line and horseback riding.  We strive to create an experience that is inclusive, stimulating and educational while providing opportunities that might otherwise seem impossible due to physical limitations, developmental delays or illnesses.
