If the family of Chicago’s elite aren’t safe from getting robbed and viciously beaten badly enough to require medical care, do you think you and yours stand a prayer of surviving unmolested in the Windy City?
Chicago isn’t safe. Not even in the street in front of the mayor’s house.
Here’s the story:
CHICAGO (DNAInfo) — Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s teenage son was injured during a robbery near his home Friday night, a City Hall spokeswoman confirmed.
Two men approached a juvenile male in the 4200 block of North Hermitage Avenue about 10:05 p.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Police did not provide the boy’s age.
The pair went through the boy’s pockets, taking his cell phone before fleeing, Sedevic said.
Kelley Quinn, an Emanuel spokeswoman confirmed the mayor’s 17-year-old son, Zach, was the victim of a robbery.
This is horrible. No one should have to go throught this crap not even the son of his majesty Lord Rahm.
P.S>I thought Rahm wanted people to vomit or pee on their attackers. did he not inform his own son about this Chicago style self defense tactic?
I’m sure Comrade Rahm will have his drunken bum Police Supt. McCarthy all over catching the 2 scumbags that did this, meanwhile every other victim can wait. I’m sorry for the kid having to go threw this. he should thank dear old dad for doing nothing to control crime, gangs, and drugs.
The article says that the 2 bad guys went through the kids pockets, there’s pockets on tutus? Maybe the kid wasn’t wearing Dad’s tutu. Can’t wait to see what SCC has to say about this.
Rahms got nothing and the crooks know it. They look at him as though he is just another hoodlum.
I feel terrible. I don’t want anything to happen to a kid who isn’t responsible for his father’s actions, but at the same time I’m glad to see that even the so-called “elite” aren’t immune.
It has been suggested that the reason a 17 yr old boy needs to make a phone call outside his house at 10pm is likely related to buying weed, and the subsequent ‘robbery’ was a ripoff of a kid who should have known better. Curious that no description of the ‘offenders’ was provided…

So if the kid was beaten why does only the headline say that. I see nothing in the very short story about a beating, just that they went through his pockets.
