Elliot Fineman. He is to gun civil rights what Bull Connor was the racial civil rights in the 1960s.

Our old friend Lee Williams brought this one to our attention.

Seems the National Gun Victims Action Council is another gun grabber group that seems to be on hard times.

They have saved some precious money on accounting fees by not filing the necessary paperwork with the Internal Revenue Service.

And, as of May of this year, they are no longer a tax exempt corporation and as such, donations are no longer tax deductible.

Even sweeter, if well-to-do gun-hating donors try to write off donations as tax deductible, they’re going to run afoul of the IRS themselves, incurring penalties and interest.

Here’s what Lee found:

Guidestar.org, the best site for researching a nonprofit, has a similar warning about doing business with the Chicago-based group: “This organization’s exempt status was automatically revoked by the IRS for failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years. Further investigation and due diligence are warranted.”

He asked some paid staffer for a copy of their most recent IRS Form 990.  All he got in return was an interrogation on why he wanted the form.

Here’s his follow-up:

Martha,

Check with your accountant or your attorney.

Federal law requires you to furnish a copy of your organization’s IRS Form 990 when asked.

It does not require the requestor to specify a reason.

Please email me a copy of the document by close of business today.

Regards,

Lee

She ignored that email and others.

Could it be because the alphabet-soup group hasn’t filed their taxes?

Who is this group?

They’re a second-rate gun-grabbing group that employs Elliot Fineman, a hired gun who works to take away your civil rights.

Fineman is an angry old man who puts up incendiary, bordering on moonbat statements and posts about gun owners and gun ownership from time to time, relying on the shock value of his statements to generate publicity.

In other words, a desperate would-be depot.
