There’s good news and bad news with regard to the Libyan attack on our consulate safehouse in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

The good news is some media, mainly FoxNews and the alternative media, are reporting new details of the attack as they slowly leak out.

The bad news is most of the mainstream media, especially the major outlets such as the New York Times and the main broadcast television networks are being very slow and seemingly reluctant to report on the new facts as they come to light.

Why the reluctance?  Perhaps they understand how damning it would be to President Obama’s re-election for the Joe and Jane Sixpacks out there to know and understand our President refused to make a gutsy call to rescue our people who were under attack for as long as seven hours before the last of them perished in this terrorist attack.

Even worse, it would seem that Obama was likely present, watching on live video early on as our former SEALs fought valiantly to hold off the attackers until help would arrive.

What our valiant SEALs didn’t realize is that help would never come.

Three times they requested assistance, including military intervention and were turned down.

Now information has come to light that the 4-star general in charge of “AFRICOM”, Gen. Carter Ham, was relieved of his command after he ignored a Defense Department order to stand down and ordered a rescue.

The Washington Times reports:

The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.

General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.

Also, a carrier strike group commander, Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette, also ignored orders to stand down has also been relieved of his command.

Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis’ home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment. The Navy said he is not formally relieved of his command of the Stennis strike group but will be replaced by Rear Adm. Troy M. Shoemaker, who will assume command until the investigation is completed.

We’re shocked, appalled and angered how this President and his administration watched live as our former SEALs fought to the death as if this was an episode of the Hunger Games.

[VIDEO] Pat Caddell BLASTS the Mainstream Media on Benghazi

It’s clear long time Democratic Party pollster Pat Caddell has had it with mainstream media suppression of Benghazi in this excerpt from the Jeanine Pirro on Fox Saturday night.

Is a U.S. general losing his job over Benghazi?

Washington Times reports of the sacking of Gen. Carter Ham at AFRICOM.

Fox News reports on sacking of Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette.

UPDATE:
Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.
One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target.  That means that Specter WAS ON STATION!  Probably an AC130U.  A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser.  You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.
Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.
If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.
If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage!  And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

  1. Being from a long line of military family, I am absolutely beyond anger over this. The economy is one thing, but, sitting fat-cat safe and sound watching as Americans are murdered – and DO NOTHING and then take action against those courageous military Commanders is SHAMEFUL!!! How any American can sit by and put this administration back into
    office defies all reason.
