We won’t publish [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME] or his likeness here at Guns Save Life, but the news outlets are abuzz with new information that has come out about the Sandy Hook Glory Killer.

We debated skipping the story altogether as to minimize adding any energy to the story of an evil, asocial scumbag’s berserk rampage against innocent children and adults in an effort to set a new “high score” as a glory killer.   The only thing this scumbag did right was off himself, but sadly, it was a bunch of years too late.  In fact, his mother should have had an abortion about twenty years before.

Anyway, here’s the latest news.

(FoxNews) – In less than five minutes, a gunman shot his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 26 people inside, then took his own life, leaving more than 150 spent rounds in his wake, according to documents released Thursday.

…Police said they found a smashed computer hard drive, a gaming console and a gun safe in [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME]’s bedroom. An unnamed source told investigators that [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME] was an avid gamer who played “Call of Duty” and other games and rarely left his home.

Emphasis added.

Gateway Pundit offers this take (and we concur):

The killer broke into the school and began firing.

Only an armed employee at the school could have prevented this tragedy.

Yet, Obama and Democrats want to punish gun owners.

Here are the warrants.  You can read the entire contents that was recovered from the glory killer’s home.

Warrant #1
Warrant #2
Warrant #3
Warrant #4
Warrant #5

Among the items collected was a Certificate from the National Rifle Association, quite possibly a certificate of completion from some NRA coursework, judging by the other items found by officers.

NBC News is suggesting [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME] was an NRA member, but the NRA released the following:

(Business Insider) – “There is no record of a member relationship between Newtown killer [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME], nor between Nancy [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME], A. [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME] or N. [REDACTED SCUMBAG’S NAME] with the National Rifle Association. Reporting to the contrary is reckless, false and defamatory,” the statement said.

The statement should have added, “and actionable”.

  1. The media keeps talking about how he had “hundreds of rounds” of ammo… like it’s something unusual. I count less than 200 rounds of .223 / 5.56×45 on the whole list. I’d be willing to bet that most people reading this who own “America’s Favorite Rifle” have more than 200 rounds stashed away somewhere. 🙂

    1. I carry more than that in my vehicle. But then again, I’ve got more ammo in my car than most entire city blocks in Illinois.

  2. It doesn’t absolve anyone of personal responsibility, but I’d like to know what medications scumbag was on.

For some reason, it seems they’re reluctant to release that information.

  3. I asked Lt. Col. Dave Grossman about anti-depressants leading to violent behavior.

In a nutshell, he said that blaming anti-depressants for this is like blaming heart meds for causing heart attacks. He’s got science behind his position that it’s violent, first person vid games in pre-teens and young adolescents that is causing faulty brain development.

Keep your kids away from violent vid games.

And see our article on Grossman’s presentation in Jacksonville:

    1. I’m a fan of Grossman, have all his books, and great respect for his opinion. But to categorically dismiss any link to the psychotropic drugs is an error in my opinion. You’d need exhaustive, scientifically sound and peer reviewed independent studies to prove that they really are the cause … or to prove they aren’t. His gig is violent games. Cool. That doesn’t overuse of psych drugs isn’t also a problem, along with a broken mental health system, degraded society in general, and crappy parenting.

Without resorting to websites run by anti-pharma or conspiracy theories, one could simply consult NIMH directly to see listed side effects (http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/mental-health-medications/complete-index.shtml). Suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, changes in behavior can and do happen. Google will help connect dots to mass shooters and drug use.

Grossman is brilliant, but I don’t think the science here is “settled”. Correlation does not mean causation, obviously, but that doesn’t mean you just dismiss correlation – lots of times where there’s smoke there’s fire.

Lots of kids play violent video games and DON’T go on killing sprees. Lots of kids are on psychotropic drugs and DON’T go on killing sprees. And a whole ton of kids have and use guns and don’t go on killing sprees!

Personally, I think there are a host of factors involved here – not one. And sometimes, evil just happens. That being said, keep your kids off those video games, shut the damn TV off, church them up, keep ’em off the drugs and take the hard road of being an involved parent. And if you find yourself with a lost cause – commit them!

  4. Did or did he not take one of America’s favorite sporting rifles into that school? I’ve heard both ways a million times.
