Well, who didn’t see this one coming? To quote the philosopher Ben Grimm (The Thing) “What a revoltin’ development!”
Anti-gun efforts this year (lawsuits, city and state law changes, media campaigns- you know- lawfare) against Glock. Because their pistols are purportedly too easy for criminals to turn into machine guns, pushed them to stop all production of their large capacity pistols in October and retool a Model V, which is purportedly not convertible.
Glock has released the new Model V’s this month, November 2025 and Shadow Systems, which produces a Glock-clone line, have made comments that they will be modifying their future pistols as well.
Today, I saw an online picture of a new Chinese made conversion switch which will supposedly convert a new Glock Model V into a machine pistol. What did that take…10 minutes?
Continuing our seemingly endless Glock-tober to Glock-vember coverage, the anti-gunners, pushed and funded by former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown For Gun Safety, and the Attorney General of Connecticut have now targeted Ruger for their 9mm RXM pistol ban- “You are next.” Everytown For Gun Safety is the largest anti-gun organization in the U.S. with millions of members.
The Ruger RXM pistol was introduced this year as a polymer frame, striker fired pistol quite similar to a Glock pistol. Not all parts are interchangeable. It is a different pistol and the future is wide open for aftermarket parts and improvements.
Probably the most salient point in this saga of anti-gun harassment, is there are no recorded instances of a Ruger RXM pistol being converted to a machine pistol by criminals or used during the commission of a crime in America. This is just bullying for the sake of bullying and pushing to limit guns and gun rights in light of their combined success against the pistol giant Glock. Give’em an inch, and they will of course take a mile. No word yet if they will be contacting numerous other manufacturers who produce Glock-like pistols.
A week ago, Everytown contacted Ruger, as reported by numerous sources, on an “urgent matter of public safety” and quite directly put it to the Connecticut gun maker since they are now the largest U.S. gun manufacturer of a pistol which “appears to be easily convertible” they need to halt production of the RXM pistol, and if Ruger continues on their current path they will face similar litigation risks like those brought against Glock.
On November 10, 2025, Connecticut state Attorney General William Tong, sent Ruger Firearms a similar letter regarding the Ruger RXM pistol. If you are going to be stabbed in the back, it’s probably best if it’s someone you already know…
Tong was one of 12 state level Democratic Attorney Generals who sent evidence preservation letters to Ruger earlier this year about their Glock-like pistol. Such letters are of course sent to intimate future lawsuits, and intimidate the manufacturer
Ruger Firearms hosted an investors webcast on November 06, 2025, and advised their third quarter sales was a very satisfactory $40.6 million and the new products- the RXM pistol, Marlin lever-action rifles and the American Centerfire Rifle Gen II represented 33.7% of those sales. Ruger’s president and CEO told investors they will be expanding upon the popularity of the RXM pistol with new grip frames, sizes, accessories and configurations.
For those short on local anti-gun history, in our state just since COVID days, the Dems in Springfield turned on the “ghost guns” with no serial numbers, then 80% kits themselves. This was followed by the ever unpopular Protect Illinois Communities Act (PICA) stopping sales of sporting rifles and extended magazines, doing nothing to stop criminals, and merely burdening the law abiding. See how it works? Now striker fired pistols must also be touted as “bad” because criminals use them- just like drunk drivers drive cars in a criminal manner, and how spoons make people fat.
What to do? What to do? Order a Ruger RXM now. That is how to vote your conscience and support Ruger at the same time, not mention the fact you will have a dandy new 9mm pistol with a bright future ahead of it.
