Minnesota Shooter- Not Unique.

Yesterday “suspect” Robin Westman, age 23, dressed in black, fired 116 bullets from a rifle and killed two children and wounded 17 other people in a mass shooting in a Minneapolis church/school. Within 20 minutes it was confirmed Westman had killed himself to end the slaughter. A rifle and shotgun were purportedly used during the attack, and a pistol was used by Westman to kill himself.

Liberal politicians and media of course seize upon this tragedy as a call for more gun control. Conservatives point at actually blaming the shooter for their criminal acts. 

Apparently, Westman did not enter the building, choosing to shoot through the church windows into morning school mass (maximum attendance) after he used 2×4’s on the outside of exit doors to prevent victims from fleeing. Cold. Cold. Calculated murders against defenseless school children who would have no ability to stop Westman. This is of course a reoccurring mass shooter strategy going back even before Sandy Hook.

The first unique thing published about Robin Westman, was they were apparently transgender at the time of the shooting. He was born a male, Robert Westman, and changed his name legally at age 17 to the female name “Robin” in court in 2020 and identified as a female.

This identity thing may be the only unique thing about the shooter. In fact, one thing which sticks to a lot of mass shooters is their lack of notable traits or life successes. They are not special. Unfortunately, he can be viewed was just another failed human being who turned to mass murder of children to express himself.

There are a lot of social media posts today hyping about the number of transgender mass shooters (more than 4 victims), like it is a trend, but researching the identified events finds several of those suspects were not transgender, just labeled so in faulty media reports. Apparently Robin Westman was Transgender, but ultimately just another deranged shooter of defenseless people, not “special” or “unusual” because they were identifying themselves as Transgender.

School shooters are not successful at most things in life, and do not have extensive love or friendships and progressively lose connection to the world around them. Combined with mental health issues, and grievances against many people/institutions, they come to a point where they realize they will not be rich, or famous or highly sought after like people they see on TV and social media (All images forced on young people via social media). Their anger and perceived slights pile up to the point they just decide to reject trying to fit in and instead plan to go out in a blaze of self-perceived glory as their only stamp on history.

They routinely suffer mental health issues, trouble in school and with the police while growing up. While planning for their day in the sun become increasingly focused on “the plan” and have declining human contacts. They have anger issues and suffer perceived grievances towards the end of their lives. Following many of these shooting instances people around the shooter will cite they knew the person had anger issues and was “not right.”

“Getting even with the world” against children targets is insanity. Notoriety through terror.

This shooting thing is not spontaneous- they study other famous shootings and make elaborate plans and gather guns, ammo and materials like a smoke bomb found at the Minnesota scene. Shooters hope for a video game like high score when they do their murders for their burst of fame. Westman wrote the names of other mass murderers on his gear and gun. The guns appear to have been legally purchased over time- another well-known trait for school shooters.

They usually have taken mental issue drugs during their troubled past. There is no word yet about Westman’s psychotropic drug use or psychological treatment, but word trickles today about extensive illegal drug use as a teen and young adult. 48 more hours might reveal some history as the media and police continue to dig.

These shooters collect and horde perceived grievances, and also leak like sieves before the shooting event. Westman left video and written comments and a rambling manifesto (again typical behavior for a mass shooter.) The list of things Westman hated included Catholics, Jewish people, children- “loved when kids get shot” and “wanted to watch children suffer.” Donald Trump (wrote Kill Donald Trump on his weapons) and fantasized about assassinating Trump. Elon Musk and other public figures like a big executive and would kill them for a “final act” of “societal significance. Christians (Where is your God? Scrawled on ammo magazines.)
There is also no word yet about any past suicide attempts by Westman, but some studies cite the difficult Trans lifestyle has an extremely large suicide/attempted suicide rate up to 40% so they may show up in the background investigation into this heinous shooter.

Westman shot himself to end the spree. This is also a very common trait of these shooters. They routinely have no life plans beyond their big moment and shoot themselves to end it, or alternately, if they are opposed by police or civilians will shoot themselves instead of being captured.

Parts of Westman’s handwritten manifesto expressed regret about becoming Transgender stating “I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself.” Well he also brainwashed himself into believing murdering children would be a good thing to do.
