While having a conversation with a recently divorced woman looking for an apartment where she felt “safe”, I mentioned that a .357 can go a long way to not only feeling safe, but actually being safe at home.
“But I don’t like guns,” she replied.
Folks, you don’t have to like guns to understand and welcome their utility to keeping you and your family safe. A firearm in the hand beats a cop a few minutes away. What’s more, it’s a proven fact that violent criminals commit fewer crimes immediately after they’ve been shot.
Similarly, some people don’t like cops either. But we don’t let the few bad apples get in the way of calling for help when we feel threatened or are in danger – at least for the vast majority of level-headed Americans.
Eschewing the proven benefits of firearms ownership can have life-altering consequences. Fears of and dislike for firearms can be attenuated with training. Who knows, if this woman and those like her got some training on safely and effectively using a firearm, they might feel empowered like they’ve never felt before.
Like the GSL highway sign slogan says, “Roses are red. My gun is blue. I sleep safe. How ‘bout you?”
Its incumbent on all of us to be positive guides for those considering firearm ownership. No stupid setups with novices and 12 gauge disasters for a laugh, but a quiet and positive experience with a 22 revolver to take the mystery out of the media distortions. Look for opportunities to be ambassadors of our civil right. Take a noob out to the range, you gain far more than you realize.
An example of the necessity of the firearm is like that of plunger. When you need access to either one, you need it NOW.
Have you ever seen the smile on the face of a new shooter right after they empty the magazine and lay that firearm down? It’s like the face of a kid on Christmas.
I was reading about the Illinois assault weapon PICA law and found out that registration of specific firearms was to be completed BY January 1, 2024 (December 31, 2023 11:59 pm). I then saw that the Illinois State Police left the “Weapon. Ammo. Accessory Disclosure” button active on the ISPFSB portal beyond the date in which all disclosures were to be made. THIS MEANS, that any person who registers their guns after the required date admits to a crime by failing to register within the required timeframe. THUS, this means the Illinois State Police themselves are guilty of aiding and abetting under (720 ILCS 5/Art. 5 heading) ARTICLE 5. PARTIES TO CRIME
I do however, believe they should have full immunity from this crime just because they are cops and cops should be able to get away with murder. That’s why I support qualified immunity. Cops should be able to lie, entrap, deny my rights, steal my property, use intimidation tactics so that I get scared and give up my constitutional rights. Police are the foot soldiers of the government and I believe they have absolute right to do whatever they please with impunity.
Why do I believe this way?
I AM A SUBJECT
I AM A SLAVE TO GOVERNMENT
I AM A STATIST
I AM A FOLLOWER OF WHAT I AM TOLD BY THE POWERS THAT BE AND NOT WORTHY OF INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:
I AM A REPUBLICAN
