The hard left wants “green energy” despite its massive downsides in their effort to “save” the world from freedom, prosperity and a better way of life for even the little people. Er, I mean so-called “global warming.” Here in Illinois, Governor Pritzker and the hard left Dems in charge want to take our state to 100% green energy a few years from now.
Well, Spain did it. And six days later they suffered a catastrophic blackout as demand outstripped supply. Put another way, a few clouds rolled over their solar “farms” and the wind stopped blowing momentarily. And the whole nation went dark.
The Iberian Peninsula… wiped off the map of lights. This is how it looked from orbit last night after a massive blackout hit Spain and Portugal. Cosmic silence over the region.”#Blackout #IberianPeninsula #Spain #Portugal #PowerOutage #SatelliteView #EarthAtNight… pic.twitter.com/0HyA7tN8m0

Moreover, they came within a hair of pulling down the entire grid in Europe.
All in the name of “renewable energy.”
From ZeroHedge:
6 Days After Celebrating ‘100% Renewable Power’, Spain Blames “Rare Atmospheric Phenomenon” For Nation’s Largest Blackout In History
Six days ago, the media celebrated a significant milestone: Spain’s national grid operated entirely on renewable energy for the first time during a weekday.
At 12:35 pm today local time, the lights went out across Spain and Portugal, and parts of France.
The good news is that the power has been restored to 95% of the nation after 24-36 hours. No mention on how much this set back industry and commercial sectors of the economy.
“Green energy” is NO energy when the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine (as in every night). Surprise, surprise, surprise! It seems as though only the true (make-)believers actually think it is feasible to rely totally on un-reliable energy generation.
So now are they calling sunset a rare atmospheric phenomenon?
Helpful Hint: Never buy “a pig in a poke.”
Got generator? You betta.
This is FAFO on a large scale.
