Illinois' capital city Springfield sent their communications team to the HOOAH Deer Hunt for Heroes event at the SCHEELS store on Tuesday, November 1st. The store outfitted the nine wounded warriors participating in this year's Pheasant and Deer Hunt event, providing everything needed for the nearly week-long event. The HOOAH Program helps wounded servicemen to reacclimate themselves to the civilian world through comaraderie-building outdoor activities. The entire outing is done at no charge to the servicemen.
Guns Save Life is a proud sponsor of the all-volunteer HOOAH Deer Hunt for Heroes program.

The soldiers got a warm welcome from the event leaders.
