Illinois has a lot of ground to go to catch up with other states in terms of per capita concealed carry licenses, but even with a scarce few licenses in the Windy City, they are still saving lives.  Such is the case of a pair of thugs who tried to rob a pair of men on the South Side barely after dark in the 4600 block of South State Street.

It didn't go so well for them when one of their victims, according to the Sun-Times, a 22-year-old with a concealed carry license, drew his own and put one of the thugs face first into the dirt.  For good.

The second suspect?  He suddenly remembered he needed to be elsewhere and ran away like his pants were on fire.
