Like a good neighbor, a gun owner and concealed carry holder is there for a deputy on the losing end of a life-and-death struggle with a criminal.  Scott Perkins drew accolades from law enforcement for his prompt action, drawing his gun and ordering an attacker off a sheriff’s deputy as the deputy was struggling for control of his own pistol with the suspect.

“Freeze” Scott Perkins yelled.  Supposedly.

Any money it went more along the lines of “Freeze, A**hole!”?

Kudos to Perkins and kudos to the local PD for recognizing heroic action on the part of a card-carrying good guy.

Bastrop, TX (Austin, TX Statesman) – Not thinking about his own life, a local Marine veteran jumped into action and stopped a man from reaching a Bastrop deputy’s gun as the suspect pummeled the officer during a struggle earlier this month.

“Freeze!” Scott Perkins yelled as he pulled out his concealed handgun, pointing at the suspect.

“I’m alive today because of him,” the deputy, 23-year-old Dylan Dorris said Wednesday, reflecting on the events surrounding a disturbance call outside a Bastrop County gas station Jan. 16. “There are no words to explain it. He’s such an outstanding citizen. He’s here for our country, our community and you really feel the love.”

    1. oops, you forgot the “SARC” tag, (sarcasm), as we all know, the marxist-in-chief abhors law enforcement overcoming his constituents (aka: the criminal class and the BLM crowd).
