The LAPD says you’re on your own if you need a cop in a hurry, due to staff shortages.

In other words, they are warning folks:

Empower yourself.  Become a gun owner.  Get training.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —   Officers with the LAPD tell CBS2 that in the event of an emergency, you might have a long wait.
