LaRue Tactical has always been a class act.

Mark LaRue, the owner, is a great businessman and quite the philanthropist as well, giving generously to pro-gun rights causes and projects with both cash and product.

His latest:  He holds state and local law enforcement to the same laws which are inflicted upon the civilians they serve in their respective states / municipalities.

7 round magazines?  If it is good enough for civilians, its good enough for Bloomberg’s security detail.

No semi-autos?  If it’s good enough for civilians, it’s good enough for the New York State Police.

You get the idea.

NEWS RELEASE:
02/08/2012 LEANDER, TX.

(Facebook) – Updated Policy for State and Local Agency Law Enforcement Sales:

Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm’s sales – and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Mark LaRue

  1. Good for them! They are great people. I applaud the industry for siding w the civilian side. Law enforcement is a fraction of what citizen sales is..

  2. Kudos to LaRue … but I think they should have been a little more direct with the “F” you. This reads like their primary motivator is the threat of lawsuits, or inadvertently screwing up and committing a technical violation of a law. They should scream it loud and clear, like Ronnie Barrett did, that this is a clear “F YOU” to those that would disarm civilians. Lawsuit my rear, you mess with the second amendment and we’ll cut you off.

Imagine if Colt, Bushmaster, S&W, et al all got together and put principal ahead of dollars? This gun control talk would be over right quick! (But hats off to LaRue for sure!)

  3. I may have to check them out for my next upper. I wish all gun makers would get on board with this including glock.

  4. I think they should add federal LE agencies to the list. There are a lot of local and state agencies that are with us when it comes to this issue and just trying to make a point with them and not the feds is wrong. Drive it home to the fed agencies and see where it goes.

  5. Mark has my business, going over there right now and buy something even if I don’t need it. Way to go Mark!

    yours in Liberty,
    Bob

  6. As a Jewess in the US, I can only say that NOW is the time for all REAL Americans to put our 2nd Amendment FIRST!! Remember that America wasn’t won with a registered gun!
