A picture is worth a thousand words.

Or, in this case, about 225 thousand words.

From the SAF Facebook post:

We got a nice surprise today. From our 2012 victory in Moore v. Madigan. The ruling declared the right to self-defense is “broader than the right to have a gun in one’s home.”

  1. Thank you Second Amendment Foundation for fighting the good fight and preserving the intentions of the patriots that crafted this right!

    1. The right to keep and bear arms was a rather old concept when Madison included it in our Bill of Rights. It was part of the British Bill of Rights of 1689, predating ours by 100 years.

The common belief of our founders was that we are born with our civil rights, including the right to self-defense. Constitutional phraseology can only limit the government’s ability to take from us what was already ours.

  2. Politicians that won’t follow the Constitution cost taxpayers money. at least this is to a good cause. I hope the check doesn’t bounce.

  3. You can keep supporting the SAF even through liberal run operations like Amazon.

Use smile.amazon.com to buy things on Amazon and setup the Second Amendment Foundation as your charity – a portion of each purchase is donated to the SAF.

Just remember to use smile.amazon.com instead of http://www.amazon.com to make your purchase.

    Spread the word…

  4. So… the State of Illinois only takes four years to pay its bills.
    Good to know.

    1. Well, it takes 4 years for payment to people who are not going to burn the town down if the States misses the “benefit” payment. Otherwise, those payments are right on time.

  5. Finally! My hard earned tax money going to a worthy cause for a change instead of welfare “entitlements”.

  6. Thank you, thank you! I selected SAF as my charity and spread the word to my mailing list.
