We’ve written about the enthusiasm gap several times this primary season, as Democrats have seen turnout decline sharply from 2008 numbers.  What’s more, Hillary Rodham Clinton won this year’s Democrat nomination with fewer votes than when she lost badly to Barack Hussein in 2008.

The first two days of the Democrat National Convention haven’t helped.  The first day America got treated to 61 speeches and not a single mention of ISIS or Islamic terror – or an American flag in the house.   Instead, we heard from Gabby Giffords’ husband Mark Kelly pitching gun control and an illegal alien who ignored a deportation order.   That doesn’t impress the average American.

The tone deaf national Democrat party continued to dig themselves into a hole Tuesday evening with a parade of criminals’ mothers to the speakers’ podium.  Ace of Spades has a nice summary:

Cop Killin’ Night at the Democrat National Coven

—Ace

Not cop killers, but a lot of agitation for killing more cops than are already being killed, as “Mothers of the Movement” of slain black men will agitate the crowd.

Remember, when Trump brought out family members of people slain by illegal immigrants, or those slain by illegal guns given to the Mexico narcoterrorists by the Obama regime, or those slain due to Hillary’s inebriated disengagement from her actual job, that was “dark.” Tonight’s Parade of Horribles will be “uplifting,” “important,” and “fodder for a Great National Discussion that must finally be had.”

It continued with last night’s acceptance speech by Hillary Rodham.  Here’s a video showing a half-empty arena for her speech, and those remaining didn’t seem all that enthusiastic.  If hard-core Democrats at the Democrat National Convention can’t get fired up over Hillary, how do they expect Joe and Jane Sixpack to be motivated?

Meanwhile, Republicans are energized and enthusiastic.  Great candidates brought out voters to the Republican party in droves – with numbers up 62% over 2008 turnout.  (Democrats are down 21% from 2008).

Here are the numbers from our report from July 5th:  WE TOLD YOU SO: Media picking up on the enthusiasm gap between Democrats and Republicans

STUNNING FINAL ANALYSIS=> GOP Primary Turnout Up 62% This Year – Dem Primary Turnout Down 21% This Year

(Gateway Pundit) – Republican turnout was up 62% this year.
Democratic turnout was down 21% this year.

Despite her tight race with Socialist Bernie Sanders Hillary Clinton received 1,019,237 fewer votes this year than in 2008.

DEMOCRAT PARTY TURNOUT–
** In 2008 there were 38,111,341 Democrat votes in the primary. In 2016 there were 29,939,251 votes. A net decrease of 8,172,090 (-21%).

REPUBLICAN PARTY TURNOUT–
** In 2012 there were 19,214,513 Republican votes in the primary. In 2016 there were 31,108,968 votes. A net increase of 11,894,455 (+62%).

Republicans had 1.1 million more primary voters this year than the Democratic party.
These are stunning numbers!

That’s an 83% enthusiasm gap between Republicans and Democrats.

Clearly, conservatives are fired up.

And Democrats are nonplussed.

Indeed, Democrats continue to be nonplussed.

And you know those “convention bounces” that presidential candidates enjoy during their conventions?

Looking at trends at Real Clear Politics compilation of polls, it looks a lot like Hillary not only isn’t bouncing, but collapsing among everyday Americans.  And yesterday’s poll results bodes poorly for Hillary Rodham.  Remember that many of these national polls are commissioned by Democrats or Democrat-allied groups (including the mainstream media), and are weighted towards Democrats.

If Democrat polls show Democrat Hillary Rodham down to Trump, imagine what the election would look like if it were held today.

Skewed polls favoring Democrats are nothing new.  A mere two weeks before the 1980 presidential election, a Gallup poll had Jimmy Carter with an 8-point lead over Ronald Reagan.  Reagan, of course, went on to win 44 states, crushing the peanut farmer under his boot.

Keep watching, ladies and gentlemen.  It’s looking like a great year for freedom and the flag.

  1. I don’t believe the dead vote has been factored in to the current poles. As I recall, in the poles the dead are pretty tight-lipped about who they support, but always vote Democrat.

  2. “Chasm”?

Quit using words over their heads, John. Hell, your average welfare rat couldn’t pronounce that, much less spell that or know what it means.

  3. Saw more stories yesterday about how the DNC is PAYING people off the streets to sit in the seats. It’s a sad day for them when they need to pay people to fill empty seats. [bold]Will they be paying people to vote for them too?[/bold]
