Not only are we famous for outstanding monthly meetings that celebrate and promote gun rights, freedom and liberty, along with an educational component, we also give away guns.  At every meeting.  Here’s an example of a GSL meeting…

GSL MEETINGS: You miss a meeting, you miss a lot. “I SURVIVED!” home invasion aftermath

We meet monthly in four cities, and we’re coming to Chicago on May 3oth.  Meetings are open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

Champaign, IL:  Second Tuesday at Fluid Events, 601 N. Country Fair Drive, Champaign.

Pontiac, IL:  First Tuesday at the VFW Post 886, 531 W. Lincoln Ave., Pontiac.

Peoria, IL:  First Thursday at Childers Banquet and Catering Center, 3113 Dries Lane, Peoria.

Effingham, IL:  First Thursday at the Effingham County Sportsmen’s Club, 14295 N. 1025th Street, Effingham.

And coming in late May, an inaugural meeting of GSL in Chicago on May 30th.  (Location to be announced as soon as it’s confirmed).

While we have nice guns every month, two in particular are stand-outs worthy of your attention.

WIN A GLOCK 43

For the June 2015 Peoria meeting, we’ve got our hot little hands on a Glock 43, one of the new, single-stack 9mm Glocks that are already selling for more than the MSRP thanks to white-hot demand.  I fondled one at the NRA Convention and my first impression was quite positive.  As much as I hate to say it, I see one of these in my future for times when I don’t really want the thickness of a double-stack Glock on my hip (which isn’t often).

G43BochGunsSaveLife

A brand new one, just like this one, can be yours.  Tickets are just $5 each and can be purchased at any of our May meeting locations or you can mail your ticket requests to Guns Save Life, Department G43, PO Box 51, Savoy, IL 61874.  Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like us to send your stubs back.  Need not be present to win.  Need not be a member of Guns Save Life to win (although we’d love it if you joined!)

The drawing will be the First Thursday in June – June 4th.  Mail in your ticket requests early.  Any received too late will be returned, unopened.  Make sure you put your phone number on your request, so you’re not like the guy from Pennsylvania who won an M1 Garand from GSL a few years ago and found out from a friend who saw it posted at Guns Save Life before he got the letter from us.  (He was pretty excited when he called me, I’ll say that!)

Also, since I’ve got you here, you might not have seen our post about the Kel-Tec PMR-30.

PMR30

South Post Guns in Streator, IL has acquired a Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistol for Guns Save Life’s Pontiac meeting on May 5, 2015.

What is a PMR-30?

If you’re not familiar with it, here’s the description from Kel-Tec:

The PMR-30 is a light weight, full size pistol chambered for the flat-shooting .22Magnum cartridge (.22WMR). The PMR-30 operates on a unique hybrid blowback/locked-breech system. This operation system allows for the use of a wide variety of ammunition as it seamlessly adjusts between locked breech and blowback operation, depending on the pressure of the cartridge. It uses a double stack magazine of a new design that holds 30 rounds and fits completely in the grip of the pistol. The trigger is a crisp single action with an over-travel stop. The manual safety is a thumb activated ambidextrous safety lever (up for SAFE, down for FIRE). The slide locks back after the last shot and a manual slide lock lever is also provided. The light, crisp trigger pull and fiber optic sights make the PMR-30 ideal for target shooting and hunting small game.

Slide and barrel are 4140 steel, frame is 7075 aluminum. Grip, slide cover, trigger, mag release, and safety levers are glass reinforced Nylon (Zytel), much like other Kel-Tec Pistols. Magazine is Also Zytel and holds 30 rounds, with round count ports. Other features include: dual opposing extractors for reliability, heel magazine release to aid in magazine retention, dovetailed aluminum front sight, Picatinny accessory rail under the barrel, Urethane recoil buffer, captive coaxial recoil springs. PMR30 disassembles for cleaning by removal of a single pin.

Tickets are $5 each, and available by mail.  If you want to buy some tickets by mail, send a check made out to Guns Save Life to:
