Pity poor billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

His Moms Demand Action group is the laughing stock of the nation, thanks in part to their own missteps, their pathetic turnouts and public relations failures (along with Guns Save Life’s ridicule).  It’s hard to gin up excitement when you’re reading off terrorist and criminals’ names as “victims” of gun violence.

Bloomie’s Everytown for Gun Control group has been a giant disappointment, failing time and time again to generate any excitement for gun control where his Moms Demand Action group has already failed.

He’s spent $50 million (f i f t y   m i l l i o n   d o l l a r s !) to advocate for gun control, and despite the mainstream media’s predictions that the NRA was about to meet its match, Mike’s money has bought little more than one embarrassing failure after another.  With graphics and promotional materials that look like they were done in an elementary school classroom, to demonstrators that don’t even turn out for a rally when they’ve been flow into town, all expenses paid, to protest, it’s been nothing but a giant fail boat.

About the most meaningful “victory” Bloomberg can point to is Target and a couple of easily forgotten fast food joints asking patrons to leave there guns elsewhere before entering.  They didn’t ban carry in their stores, but merely (and symbolically) asked customers not to bring there guns.

Maybe if he spends another hundred million, he can talk Kroger into banning open carry in their stores too.

DESPERATION GETS UGLY

Mikey’s frustration has turned ugly.

He’s urging environmental wackos to “get a lot tougher and start threatening” gun makers and their families.  Ditto for people who burn coal or make cigarettes.  It all happened at an interview with the Environmental Defense Fund President Wednesday.

Here’s his quote in context, courtesy of the Gateway Pundit:

I’ve always thought the pro-environmental groups should get a lot tougher and start threatening. You go to your Congressperson…

What the NRA does, the reason they are so powerful is they go to you and they say, you gotta vote with us. And you say, I can’t do it. I’m good on the other issues but I’m not good on guns. And the NRA would say, well We’re gonna go after you. But you say, my opponent is worse. But they say, we don’t care we’re going after you. We’re going after your spouse, your kids, and your grandkids. We’re setting up a fund so five generations from now we’re still going to go after every relative of yours. And you say that is totally irrational. But wait a second these guys are crazy. And so you say OK Bloomberg will still vote for me because he likes my position on all these other things and he’ll won’t worry about the gun issue.

Well I think the environmental people have to say, wait a second you are murdering people, and we gotta stop this. And why we don’t go after people that burn coal, or make guns, or make cigarettes you know…”

Desperation.  Can ye smell it too?

Can someone spray him down with some air freshener?

  1. Just like Muslim clerics and “leaders” urge their followers to go commit suicide bombings and wage jihad, so to is Bloomberg seeking useful idiots.

If he felt so strongly, he would be making the threats.

    1. Seriously… the fact that he keeps doing all this through Proxies tells me he already KNOWS how its going to play out. He’s putting a layer of drones in between himself and the sh*tstorm he’s trying to stir up.
