Anti-gun Democrats at the national level are desperate.  As next Tuesday’s election nears, all signs are pointing towards a wipe-out, pushing Barack Obama’s party back to levels not seen for generations.  At the same time, if enough pro-gun U.S. Senators can be elected, we can stop future radicals from getting appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Of course, political hacks like Nancy Pelosi are so out of touch with reality that they think Democrats are going to pick up 25 seats in the House of Representatives and reclaim the majority.

(Washington Post) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told The Washington Post Tuesday that her goal is to win 25 seats this November — a bold statement given that historical trends suggest that the party of a sitting president usually loses seats in the sixth year of his term.

It’s not just Nancy Pelosi though.

Steny Hoyer, the #2 Democrat in the House thinks the same.

Washington (CNN) – Defying virtually all political analysis, the No. 2 House Democrat said his party has “a good shot” at winning enough seats in November to regain control of the House of Representatives.

Then again, Nancy Pelosi and the national leadership of the Democrat Party believe that strict gun control is what Americans want – along with what they say is the popular Obamacare law.

(Washington Times) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi predicted Thursday that Obamacare will be a winning issue for her party in congressional elections this year, despite a high-profile loss in Florida and hang-wringing among her fellow Democrats.

Is it any wonder why Democrats are set for historic losses at the national level?

They aren’t giving up without a fight though.

The party of the donkey sees increasing numbers of African-Americans upset with Democrats for supporting unpopular issues including amnesty for illegals (making jobs even harder to find for African-Americans).  In an effort to bring black voters back to the Democrat plantation, partisans are turning to charges of racism to stem the defection:

(Washington Times) – The spate of campaign fliers that use images of lynchings, Jim Crow laws and the recent racial unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, to urge blacks to vote in next week’s election somehow failed to grab the attention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The NAACP headquarters in Washington wasn’t prepared to answer questions about the fliers and mailers circulated in black communities in Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina, despite widespread news coverage of it for the past week.

“Can you send the photos of the literature and tell me the exact states they have been distributed in so that I can contact our field offices?” said NAACP spokeswoman Jamiah Adams.

Scare tactics and intimidation may work for some, but more and more African-Americans are disillusioned with the constant empty promises from politicians pandering to them.

The signs are everywhere that this election is going to be a blowout for Democrats, especially anti-gun Democrats, nationwide.

Illinois, of course, a solidly blue bastion for Democrats.

Will Illinois follow the national trend, and if so, to what degree?

Remember:  In the Illinois Governor’s race, a vote for anyone except Republican Bruce Rauner is effectively a vote for Pat Quinn.

Pat Quinn won four years ago thanks to the protest votes of conservatives voting for the Libertarian candidate.  Will the same happen this year?

And wouldn’t it be nice to send Senator Dick “Our troops are Nazis” Durbin to the unemployment line?

Be sure to vote freedom first this coming Tuesday.

Your gun rights are depending upon it.

UPDATE:

Why are we so hard on Democrats?

Well, we acknowledge that there are pro-gun Democrats, especially downstate in Illinois.

However, having said that, the leadership of the national Democrat party is virulently anti-gun, as is the leadership of Illinois’ Democrat party.

In fact, check this out from Days of our Trailers:

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi
Senate Dem. Leader Harry Reid
IL Senator Dick Durbin
IL Gov. Pat Quinn

This is just a selection not including the large numbers of mostly Chicago based (D) legislators (Madigan’s, Cullerton, Emanual, Kotowski, etc) nor all the ones from CA, NY, NJ  (Feinstein, Schumer, McCarthy) etc. that keep pushing gun control over and over. The DNC platform alone calls for bans on firearms and banning private sales (ironically under ‘protecting rights’)

MAIG, of course, being Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun Mayors Against Guns group.

  1. I want to vote for the Libertarians… I *need* to vote for the Libertarians but as you mentioned, a vote for them is basicly a vote for a dumbocrat…. History will look back on out nation and try to figure out how a free people allowed themselves to be tricked in to believing that it was perfectly OK that their country was semi-officially controlled by two private clubs 🙁

    1. I absolutely detest when people say things like “a vote for libertarians is a vote for democrats” and “you’re throwing your vote away”. I feel that if you vote for someone you do not truly believe in, you are throwing your vote away. We need to get over this 2 party mentality in this country. Things will never change if we continue to vote against candidates instead of voting for the person who we truly believe in.

    2. Well, you can always get out and WORK for the libertarian of your choice instead of JUST voting for the spoiler on election day, IF you truely believe. For the libertarian to NOT be a “spoiler” they have to win, if they only get 2%-5% of the vote totals all they

    3. Your response proves my point. “Well, I’m not gonna vote for them, even though they stand for the same ideals as I do. They won’t win, so if I vote for them, I’m wasting my vote” People treat politics like a sporting event. Cheer on their “team” no matter what they do, despite the fact that they are bending you over as they take more and more money from you.
