‘Rona update.

The chyron says it all.

It’s looking more and more like the Chi-com flu isn’t as deadly as earlier predictions claimed.  This is good news for America.  And bad news for the sensationalist media, the opportunist Democrats and the Chi Com government.

In other words, while Hillary Clinton is calling for a two month quarantine.

So Hillary thinks we should have a two month shutdown?

Good thing she didn’t get elected president, huh?

Dems running gun control in Congress?

A lot of folks have gotten all worried about HR5717.

Firearms Policy Coalition has the announcement on this bill here.

Issue: HR 5717/S. 3254 – This year’s Gunpocalypse

UPDATE – Sen. Warren has introduced her own version of HR 5717 in the Senate. It is S. 3254 and is nearly identical to HR 5717. We are urging all gun owners to oppose both bills.

If you’re a gun owner, you literally need to drop everything you’re doing right now and oppose this bill.

HR 5717 is the worst anti-gun legislation that FPC has ever seen. It could end gun rights in totality within a generation.

In 2016, we fought hard against a huge surge of anti-gun legislation in California. We dubbed it “Gunpocalypse.”

And now Rep. Hank Johnson has introduced a bill that rolls up all of Gunpocalypse – and more – into one federal bill.

HR 5717 would:

Create a nationwide gun registry
Ban almost all semiautomatic rifles
Institute a federal Magazine Ban
Implement national “Red Flag” gun confiscation
Tax guns at 30% and ammo at 50%
Ban patriots under 21 from exercising their Second Amendment rights
Ration guns by making it illegal to purchase more than one firearm in a 30-day period
Force “Safe Storage” requirements on gun owners
Ban home builds
Ban suppressors
Force FFLs to spend massive amounts of money to comply with new “security” requirements
Expand “Gun Free Zones”
And more than we can possibly list here in this space

However, it was dated January 30th.

Congress isn’t even in session right now.  Well, maybe later today to vote on the Kung Flu relief bill, but not to take up other business.

And the votes aren’t there to pass it through the Senate any more than the House has the votes to pass National Reciprocity to recognize carry licenses like we recognize driver’s licenses.

So don’t get all animated about this one.

And now for a bit of uplifting content.

SOMETHING THAT INSTAPUNDIT COMMENTER BART HALL POSTED ON FACEBOOK:

Truckers are saying “f*** the log rules, I’m hauling” and they’re getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking the shelves all night and letting old people shop first. Folks are buying meals for truckers, who (obviously) can’t go through the drive-ups. Asking ’em what they want, then buying it for them.

Carnival Cruise Line has told Trump “We can match those big Navy Hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships”.

GM and Ford have said “hold our cars and watch this — we can make ventilators where we were just making car parts, starting next week” — by re-engineering seat ventilators which their engineers hacked together for a new purpose. In under a week.

In a project with which I’m loosely associated, a very-effective agricultural disease-control agent was re-purposed and re-labeled specifically for Corona-virus control by the FDA and EPA in under ten days, from initial request to distribution.

Restaurants and schools have said, “we’ve got kitchens and staff; we can feed the poor kids who used have school lunch.”

NBA basketball players have said, “Hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff.”

Construction companies are saying, “Here are some high-end masks for medical staff and doctors”.

Distilleries are making sanitizer out of distilling “heads and tails” which are normally discarded. Nasty shit to drink, but effective sanitizer.

People are tipping grocery check-out clerks and thanking them for taking the risk.

Local, state, and county governments are taking control of everything the feds cannot do. Some are doing it wrong, but for the first time in decades … they’re doing it. Federalism is re-emerging, and the smallest unit of government is the individual and the family. This, too, is re-emerging after decades of dormancy.

As Japanese Admiral Isokuru Yamamoto said, after Pearl Harbor … “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

I sense this has just happened. We have a wonderful country, the greatest single force for good in all human history. We have closed our borders, with good reason, yet we have top medical people now assisting North Korea in their response to the virus.

Many things have been re-set, and will never be the same.

By microbiological accident, we are living in profoundly transformative historical times.

    1. The democrats have used this viral scare in an attempt to bring down Trump by putting Millions of people out of work and Destroying Small business.

Just look at all the special interest that are going to be funded with the 2 Trillion dollar bailout bill. The House Democrats added a pay increase for themselves written into the bill.

  1. It’s kind of sad to see schools, while closed, pumping out meals for parents who have the inability to feed their own kids, or are just too lazy to. With all of the accessibility to food stamps and the like, there should be no valid reason for them not to be able to. There may of course be a few exceptions here and there, but the amount of meals we see them putting out is ridiculous. It just goes to show that public schools are more day care centers than anything else. When one sees huge numbers of kids who can’t do basic math and pass tests to graduate (more so in large cities), it proves that there is not a whole lot of education going on, just babysitting.

    1. I live in nowheresville and our little school systems are feeding a lot of children.

When i was a child we were dirt poor, I am talking poverty level.

We never took food stamps or any assistance. Ate a lot a tatter soup but never took government aid.

    2. The “feed the children” in schrewls “program” is essentially the “government-centrist” agenda to control the lives of everyone. By declaring that parents can no longer feed their own “chillins” it is one step closer to control of the masses from cradle to grave, after the liberal/communist mantra is that the government is smarter than anyone and better able to control everyone’s lives. Welcome to communism 101.
