CC Board, Committee of the Whole Agenda, has a Resolution Item supporting the Responsibility in Firearm Legislation (RIFL) at the 6:30 pm Tuesday Meeting in the Shields Carter Meeting Room at the Bennett Administration Center, 102 E. Main Street, Urbana.
Public Input (comment) is allowed at all open County Board meetings. Public Input occurs right after approval of minutes. The limitations on public comment is 5 minutes.
You and other GSL, Gun Clubs, 2nd Amendment groups, etc., are welcome to attend and bring a prepared statement in opposition of the resolution.
There are 6 Republicans and 16 Democrats on the board, a simple majority passes the resolution. Nevertheless, a strong showing by 2nd Amendment advocates will be greatly beneficial and appreciated. A greater impact occurs when those attending live in Champaign County.
Also, consider sending a letter to the CB Members.
