I am working on some good Central Illinois bodycam videos of cops taking on bad people with evil in their hearts so us regular folks – “civilians” if you will – don’t have to. And I noticed this one already ran back in September. It’s a golden oldie, so I’m resharing it. Enjoy.
Don’t you love career criminals? They play stupid about their actions, then blame others for holding them accountable. Just like the guy who sexually abused a 13-year-old… yeah, you read that right. Brandon Lewis, the now-formerly registered sexual predator who abused a 13-year-old, wielded a baseball bat immediately after waving his pecker around on a public street. Letting your sex organ hang out tends to bring the police, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, good old Brandon Lewis plays dumb and eventually, after cops glove up when he gives plenty of non-verbal indicators that he’s going to fight them, he swings a baseball bat at the female officer who was exposing herself to potential serious, maybe even fatal injury by not using the world’s best tactics with an armed criminal.
After reportedly connecting with the female officer, good old Brandon gets gut shot, then runs. When cops chase him down, then hold and cuff him, he asks “What did I do?”
As if he didn’t just attempt to hit in infield double with the female officer’s brain housing group.
Here’s the video. Fair warning, Mr. Brandon’s language isn’t exactly work office friendly. And if you’re prone to outbursts of cheering when the good guys win and subdue a serious bad dude playing stupid, well, pipe down.
This is why Illinois needs a three strikes and you’re out law. Commit three serious felonies involving violence or property crimes, you spend a generation or two in prison… no parole, no plea bargains, no credit for good time. Just hard time. We would see serious crime plummet faster than JB Pritzker slipping off the 3 meter diving board. And yes, what a splash that would make.
Of course, Brandon’s mama says police shot her son to death rather than deal with his mental illness.
No, mom. They shot your son because he employed lethal force against an innocent person. It doesn’t matter at all if he’s a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Tough noogies. Maybe he should’ve been in prison after sexually assaulting that 13-year-old, perhaps?
Frankly, I would have shot that SOB too if he tried to hit me with a baseball bat.
And a media outlet in Peoria tried to make a big deal over a lack of radio communications related to the incident. Well, guess what… if someone just smacked you upside the head with a bat, you probably have bigger fish to fry that getting on the radio.
Good riddance on the death of the sex predator. What the loss of any life if tragic, some lives lost are a net benefit to society. Including this guy. So thank you Peoria PD for the taxpayer relief shot. Sorry you had to do it, but you did us all a favor, especially young teenagers in the community. Brandon Lewis won’t be sexually assaulting any more of them and that’s a great thing.
