Why does this publication feel the need to sexualize its covers and blog posts? You can communicate the same message and support the Second Amendment without using imagery that objectifies women. It would come across as much more professional and classy that way.
Geez, Mike, ease up a little bit there. I don’t see anything sexual about the cover, just another gun owner who isn’t another over the hill dude. Much like my daughters.
How come we never see any kitties or puppies on the front? I understand that we don’t want to objectify an attractive young lady if she is holding not only a firearm but also a kitten or a puppy. Then again, we don’t want to piss off a crazy cat lady or Mr. Twenty Dogs, but let’s take a chance.
That picture isn’t sexualizing anything. It is good for people to get it through their heads that 2A is for everyone, and that definitely includes women.
Far more important to always show safety rules being followed.
Yes I’m female. And my hubby doesn’t ogle the Gun News photos. For that I always gave him my copies of the Dillon Blue Press. I, of course, read it for the articles.
