You can proclaim gravity doesn’t exist or that the sun will rise in the west tomorrow morning, but that doesn’t make it true.

Such is the case with the useful idiots in Highland Park who claim that signs save lives.

They aren’t talking about the Chicago “Safe Passage Route” signs where Chicago police found a dead thug a week or two ago.

They are talking about the “NO GUNS” signs that ban good guys from carrying guns, while doing nothing to prevent violent criminals from carrying.

They demonstrated outside a grocery store that won’t ban card-carrying good guys from carrying their personal defense tools in the store.  If you walk up to these mental giants and as them to take you to their leader, they will point you towards Lee Goodman, an anti-gun assclown that has bounced from one non-profit to another, suckling on the boob of leftist-funded non-profits, bleeding them dry before moving on.  First it was “Stop Concealed Carry”.  That failed.  Then it was yet another non-profit that has gone away.  Now he’s found (or founded) a new non-profit called “Peaceful Communities” (no form 990 available).

It would seem that these social justice warriors have given up on Kroger and Staples, having been told by these chains to go pound sand – lots and lots of sand.  Closer to home, despite multiple appearances by Goodman’s insane clown posse last fall, Mariano’s told them to go urinate into a stiff breeze as well.

HIGHLAND PARK (DNS) – About 20 demonstrators gathered at Sunset Foods here at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 to protest the grocery retailer’s refusal to post anti-gun signs.

“No one is giving up on this issue and Peaceful Communities along with other North Shore residents are pretty determined to see a change made,” said Lee Goodman, spokesman for Peaceful Communities.

The group stood on the sidewalk between the entrance and the exit of Sunset Foods. “The enthusiasm was good even though it was only 22 degrees outside,” said Goodman.

The group included Peaceful Communities demonstrators who have picketed outside Northbrook’s Mariano’s and the Highland Park Holiday Tree Lighting in Port Clinton. There were also some newcomers to the protest, including a father brought three eighth grade students with him. This is the fourth time the group has demonstrated on the North Shore.

The group has been targeting grocery stores because of the frequent visits from local customers. “People shop close to where they live and tend to bring their kids along with them,” said Goodman. “We’re always hoping that we’ll have an impact, so that stores will post signs to protect their customers.”

Goodman said several people went in to talk to the manager. “As far as I know they’re going to continue their policy of letting people bring guns into the stores.”

Yep.  Shop where you see the sign.

Note the “No Guns” sign just beside the cop’s shoulder. “NO GUNS” signage attracts America’s criminal class to ply their trade, and is why you should avoid such establishments.

  1. I agree, Signs Save Lives, but only those sign that welcome concealed carry. Your no gun signs proclaim to the criminal element in your neighborhoods “All the patrons of this establishment are unarmed and unable to defend themselves. Come in and take whatever you want, we won’t and can’t stop you.”
Guns welcome signs proclaim to your neighborhood criminal element “The patrons of this establishment may, and probably are, armed and will defend themselves. Take your criminal activities down the street to the no gun establishments.”
How hard is that to understand? Criminals don’t obey the law, why do you expect them to obey a sign?
    Stupid much?

  2. These sheeple have no idea what a blessing concealed carry is to them. Maybe beautiful gun free Englewood is more to their liking?

I am old enough to remember this moment….
When the great Ronald Reagan visited the British Parliament in 1982, he told the British parliamentarians that “if history teaches anything, it teaches self-delusion in the face of unpleasant facts is folly.”

  3. I agree, Signs DO save lives…

…of the criminals that know that they have a much better chance of surviving if only unarmed law abiding citizens are present when they decide to commit a crime.
On the other hand, a sign out front saying “armed security on duty” is another sign that can save lives, provided of course that they received enough education to understand what all those long words actually mean, and they will commit their crimes elsewhere, thus saving the lives of criminals.

I have never been able to understand, and i doubt i ever will, the mentality of people that associate an inanimate object with hatred and fear.
Even symbols like the swastika, which i saw more than a few times in my life, don’t mean anything to me by itself. (before i get jumped as racist or anything i spent a few years in asia, before the nazis took it and perverted it the swasika had already been around over 10,00 years)

I almost feel sorry for these people, except for the fact that they all look old enough to figure things out for themselves, so it’s probably their own choice to remain ignorant sheeple.

  4. Well good. They just announced to every thug and low life criminal that they are wealthy and unarmed. An open invitation to come there and give a little taste of Chicago. I’m guessing one home invasion with the wife raped, the husband beaten and shot will get the Highland Park brain trust rethinking their position on protecting their homes with guns. Sheep is all they are.

  5. Those people look pretty much like sheeples. Ready to be sheared. Or fleeced. Or slaughtered.

Denial ain’t a place in Egypt.

  6. Those people look like a bunch of mindless lefties with even dumber children. As for me and my family, we will continue to keep secure company with fellow gun owners and continue to safely shop while packing some heat. Oh, and my kids are smart and well-trained.

  7. Love the photo of the dead thugs. Did they think the no guns sign meant the owner/clerk was not going to have one?
