Got a six-shot revolver?

One extra special snowflake / low-information legislator in New York State has proposed limiting ammo purchases to as few as twelve rounds every 90 days.

Bill would limit bullet purchases to twice the gun’s capacity

Brooklyn Daily Eagle

(Brooklyn Daily Eagle) – State lawmakers from Brooklyn announced on Monday new legislation aimed at tightly restricting the sale of ammunition in New York.

…the language contained in the draft legislation would also affect owners of handguns with much smaller capacities, such as six-shooters.

Since the measure would cap the amount of ammunition to no more than twice the amount of the capacity of the weapon every 90 days, these gun owners would be limited to buying a dozen bullets every three months.

  1. As long as they add a limit on gasoline of twice the maximum full tank per month because of drunk drivers and a limit on alcohol of one standard drink per month (one shot, one glass of wine, or one beer). And of course a limit on the amount of bribes they are allowed to accept each quarter to be no more than twice their monthly salary.

I would put more but, this is a family friendly site.

  2. Chickens are endangered. One chicken per month should be great plenty for the family of four.

State lawmakers from Brooklyn need to go play with their paper dolls.

  3. This is just the tip of the larger dagger they will shove into the 2nd Ammendment! Seattle just succeeded in adopting additional taxes on ammo and guns, just like Cook County. Saw it on Fox Mews this morning. The writing is on the wall. Look at what Virginia did with CCW. Eventually the liberals will neuter the 2nd out of existence. Unless the NRA will advocate and request a call to arms, the mission creep will prevail for them. Politics, legislation and voting is only prolonging the inevitable. The current generation is willing to eliminate the bill of rights. They will stop at nothing.

  4. This kind of legislation doesn’t come from some misguided liberal bedwetter who’s aim is to curb gang violence, stop mass shooters, or prevent suicides. The soul purpose of this is an attempt to display power. Some pisspot potentate has it in their feeble mind that they are better than everyone else and they can control the masses because they are an elected official. I would hate to have to work for this preck, it would wrinkle my jolly demeanor.

  5. To celebrate this article, I bought some ammo tonight! Feels great to be an American, and just think- Hillary and her ilk don’t want me to be able to do that!

  6. The logical retaliation is for gun owners across the country refuse to purchase ammunition from companies which sell to the police agencies in New York. There are 150 million people who shoot in the US. The certainly have more clout than the significantly smaller number of cops in New York.

Same goes for the feds. They do not have the buying power of the people. Those companies who sell to them should be put on notice.
