Guns Save Life Sangamon County’s monthly meeting is moving to Scheels Sporting Goods Store in Springfield, effective our November 2, 2015 meeting.  Scheels is generously donating the normal $550 room rental fee as an in-kind donation to Guns Save Life as well.  Big thanks to them.

Monday, November 2nd
Dinner and conversation: 5pm
Meeting business:  7pm
Scheels
3801 South MacArthur Boulevard
Springfield, IL 62711

What’s even better news?

Bring your appetite – there’s food!  Dinner will be Pulled Pork sandwich, a side and drink for $6.99 at the Scheels cafeteria.  Folks can order off the menu if pulled pork isn’t your thing.

You could win a hard-to-find Kel-Tec PMR-30!

It’s our monthly drawing gun that someone will win at that meeting.

He’s asking folks to RSVP via text message or email if they are planning on eating for this first time at Scheels.

Our speakers will likely be World War II and Korean War veterans talking about their time serving our country in honor of Veteran’s Day, and the Marine Corps’ birthday.

Canik

Oh, and last month’s gun winner, Wendy Boch, stopped by Birds and Brooks to pick up her Canik TP9/SA pistol won at Sangamon County Guns Save Life’s first meeting on October 5th.  Her first impression?  “This really fits my hand nicely!”  She’s posing with Phil Davis of Birds and Brooks.  Thanks to Dale Patterson for providing the Canik pistol.  Birds and Brooks is also providing November’s Kel-Tec PMR-30.

If you haven’t been there for a while, here’s the sign at the door.

ConcealedCarry

It causes gun grabbers to piddle themselves and not come inside.

Ditto for would-be armed robbers.

  1. Dale Patterson and the staff at Birds and Brooks have always been a great supporter, and if you get a chance to stop by, remember to tell them thanks.

  2. Congrats, GSL.

I went to one of the meetings at KC a long time ago. They didn’t seem like they really wanted us there.

I also went to a few of the GSL meetings at the Rantoul KC years ago.

Rantoul’s KC loved having us. The Springfield KC, NOTHING like that.

    Glad you moved.

    I’ll be there.

  3. Scheels is darn nice. Go early, folks. You’ll want time to browse.

    Great choice for meeting location.

  4. Scheels is creating the dinner special just for us and have been very accommodating. We are looking forward to a great turnout and meeting.
Dinner can be eaten in the dining area or taken up to the 2nd floor training room, around the corner from the elevators.
We are asking for a rough estimate on the number of diners just to ensure there is enough of the special for all who want it. The full menu will also be available if that is your preference.

    See you all there!
