Take a newbie to the range, get free ammo.  It’s that easy.

Here’s the deal, direct from one of the folks at AmmoToGo.com:

…We’re launching a pretty big campaign with the help of Magtech designed to get more people interested in shooting.  In total, we have 100,000 rounds of 9mm earmarked for folks who are willing to take a new shooter (kids, spouse, friend, etc.) to the range as part of what we’re calling “Ammo Ambassadors”.

Here’s what we have planned:

Starting at 12 p.m. on October 6, we’ll have downloadable target on our site. The first 1,000 people who print it off, take a new shooter to the range and upload it on our site will get 2 boxes of ammo delivered to their door for free.

The page with the target isn’t visible today but it will be next Tuesday (Oct. 6) at noon.(http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/index.php/cName/pistol-ammo-9mm#ammo-ambassadors).

Well, guess what?

You’ve got the target (That’s it at the top of this blog post – with permission of AmmoToGo.com) and a leg up on the competition.  Take a newbie out to the range this weekend while they are off from school or work.  Introduce them to the fun and excitement of shooting.

Instructions to print out:  Here’s the target.  Click for full size – 2550×3300 pixels.  Once the image pops up, right click and select “View Image”.  Then send that to your printer.  If you can’t figure it out, summon your kid or grandkid.  They’ll have it printed out before you can spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

Our advice:  Start them out with the NRA’s three safety rules even before they touch your *unloaded* gun…

 1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.

2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

Show them the fundamentals of stance, grip, sight picture and trigger control, then show them how to load the gun and then let them shoot at the AmmoToGo.com target above.  (Hint:  Print it out first.)

Take a picture of six of the newbie holding their target.  They’ll probably be smiling, that’s good.  This isn’t a mug-shot type photo.

Hang onto that photo and the target.

EXTRA CREDIT:  Email the picture of your new shooter and their perforated AmmoToGo.com target to jboch@gunssavelife.com and we’ll post it as time and availability allow here at Guns Save Life.

Come Tuesday afternoon, read the instructions at the link above.   Follow them to order your free ammo.

If they run out before you get your submission in, email it to me.  I’ve got a three Ammo Ambassador “free ammo codes” I’ll share with GSL members who send me their pictures.  I believe they are holding those back for us even if 997 others have already ordered theirs.
