A drunk 19-year-old tough guy thought his Gat made him God found out the hard way he wasn’t bulletproof and that good guys shoot better than he does.
Our freshly perforated hoodlum thought a group of people didn’t belong on his block, so he told them to leave, pulling out his gun and waving it around. When he fired a shot, one of the group’s members, a 25-year-old concealed carry license holder, drew his own gun and fired at the thug. The thug shot at the group a second time and the CCW carrier lit him up, hitting him several times.
Mr. Thug ran off, only to show up at the hospital later.
No innocents were hurt in the course of this incident.
Philadelphia (Enquirer) – A man with a license to carry a concealed gun returned fire on a younger man who shot at him in Philadelphia’s Tioga section late Thursday, leaving the teenager in critical condition Friday, police said.
About 11:30 p.m. Thursday, the 19-year-old man fired at the 25-year-old man on the 1400 block of Lenox Street, according to Officer Christine O’Brien, a police spokeswoman.
The 19-year-old, who appeared to be intoxicated, had ordered the man to leave his block before shooting, police said. The older man, who has a concealed-weapons permit, responded by firing his own gun. The pair exchanged shots before the younger man fled.
After the older man reported the incident to police, the 19-year-old came to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, with gunshot wounds to both arms, his abdomen, and his neck. He was expected to be charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, police said.
His gun probably did make him God-like among most of those in his neck of the woods.
A CCW holder isn’t most people though. They don’t intimidate quite so easily.
