The Brady Campaign is struggling to keep cash coming in, and with a federal court judge’s order, their balance sheet for 2015 just got a little less rosy.

Many folks don’t know it, but the Brady Bunch was darn near bankrupt in 2010 and 2011.  Their IRS Form 990 for 2011 showed that their liabilities were about $1.3M and their net revenue was about 200k in the red.

Then came Newtown in 2012 and an influx of cash from somewhere (cough Soros cough) propped Brady President Dan Gross (otherwise known as “Mr. $385k” in salary and bennies in 2013) and his merry band of gun grabbing pals for a couple of more years, as evidenced by their 2013 IRS Form 990.

But now, Dan will be writing a $100k+ check to Lucky Gunner, an online ammunition seller the Brady Campaign filed suit against following the Batman movie massacre.  The Brady’s contended that Lucky Gunner should have interrogated their ammunition purchasers.  The judge laughed at that wild-eyed assertion and ordered the Brady Bunch to pay for Lucky Gunner’s legal fees.

“It is apparent that this case was filed to pursue the political purposes of the Brady Center and, given the failure to present any cognizable legal claim, bringing these defendants into the Colorado court where the prosecution of James Holmes was proceeding appears to be more of an opportunity to propagandize the public and stigmatize the defendants than to obtain a court order,” the judge wrote in his order in the Phillips v. Lucky Gunner case.

Ouch.  Sucks to be Dan and the Brady fools.

What makes it even sweeter?

Lucky Gunner is donating the Brady legal reimbursement money to grassroots gun rights groups!

How sweet is that?  The far left is underwriting gun rights.

If you want to help designate who to send the Brady Campaign’s money to (Guns Save Life isn’t a listed choice, but the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action is…), visit this link and vote.  Isn’t it neat to spend other peoples’ money?

  1. Didn’t you say they spent $10k on the latest Chuck’s Guns fiasco?

One defeat after another. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of leftist, big-government gun haters.

    Pardon me for snickering.

  2. That’s great news. I’ve used Lucky Gunner in the past and always recommend them. Good people that didn’t need to go through this Brady crap.
