h/t to The Truth About Guns

A compilation of self-defense video and stories where good people with guns used those tools to thwart criminal attack.  Good stuff here.

And, from BuzzFeed, a written compilation of nine potential mass glory killings stopped short thanks to good guys with guns.

Here’s the first one:

1.

Oct. 1, 1997
Luke Woodham fatally stabbed and bludgeoned his mother and went on to kill two students and injure seven others at his high school. Woodham was stopped by Assistant Principal Joel Myrick, a U.S. Army Reserve commander, who detained Woodham by using a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol he kept in his truck, until authorities could show up.

Myrick stopped Woodham from going across the street to the middle school.

My money says that had Principal Myrick had his .45 on his person, young Luke Woodham would be the deceased Luke Woodham and at least some of his victims would have been unhurt that fateful day.

But Principal Myrick wasn’t carrying because schools are supposed to be gun-free zones.

The only thing that stops bad people intent on predatory violence is good people with guns.

When it comes to glory killers, the only thing they like better than defenseless victims (like school children) is gun-free zones to ensure that their potential victims can’t fight back.

  1. Don’t forget, anytime you see that an “off duty” police officer intervened, think “armed civilian”. That’s what they are when they’re not on duty.

  2. Yes, and that’s what we are when we get our C. C. Lisense .. Until then we MUST rely on our already legal, transportation firearms legally … If you don’t know about that you can get the information from the Illinois Department of Natural
    Resources ….
