Guns Save Life’s monthly meetings will return in July!

Here’s your chance to reconnect with friends and acquaintances you’ve not seen for a number of months.

COVID SAFETY:
If you’re not feeling well or running a fever over 100.4 degrees, stay home.  Have you had a sore throat or a fever in the past 14 days, stay home.  Had close contact (defined as touching or similar very close contact) with someone with Beer Flu?  You guessed it:  stay home.

And if you feel it’s just not safe to come out yet because you have a number of pre-existing conditions:  Stay home.

Here are the latest updates:

Wednesday, July 1st:  DECATUR
We will meet at Coz’s Pizza in Mt. Zion.  They will have the usual buffet, only a staff member will dish up the food.

Thursday, July 2nd:  PEORIA
The Peoria meeting will take place at the usual Golden Corral restaurant.  Everyone is welcome.  Come early.  Mention you’re with GSL for a reduced price on all-you-can-eat dinner.  We expect to have plenty of room for a full house.

Monday, July 6th:  SANGAMON COUNTY: 4p and 7p.
The Springfield area GSL event will take place at SCHEELS in Springfield.  The cafeteria will be open and the usual good food will be ready, so come hungry.  We will have TWO meetings – one at 4p and another at 7p – since SCHEELS is limiting attendance to 50 at one time.  We ask that you contact Dale Lock (lockdale1953@gmail.com) and sign up for “reservations.”  We will hold your “reservation” until about 10 minutes before the start of the meeting, at which point we will allow anyone without a “reservation” who is awaiting entry to take a seat.  At least until we are maxed out by SCHEELS staff.

Tuesday, July 7th:  PONTIAC
The Pontiac meeting will take place at usual spot at VFW Post 886 in Pontiac.  Everything will be like a normal meeting, including the food and so forth.

Thursday, July 9th:  CHARLESTON
Unique Banquet Center and Hotel will host our Charleston event at the usual time and place.  Food will be available, and they will serve in containers as opposed to buffet style.

Tuesday, July 14th:  RANTOUL
Champaign County’s GSL meeting will take place at the Knights of Columbus in Rantoul.  Dinner and conversation begin around 530 and the meeting will start at 7pm.

Sunday, July 26th:  CHICAGOLAND
We will meet at DA’s Deli and Dining for our Chicagoland GSL meeting on Sunday, June 26th.  We have a great speaker tentatively lined up.  You won’t want to miss this for an inside look into Cook County’s criminal justice system.  DA’s will have their usual great food, so come hungry!

  1. Where is the 7/26 meeting? I found 2 “DA Deli’s”.also I have never been to a meeting, is there a fee or do need to be a member?

    1. The address is 7260 west 159th street in Orland Park. No fee or need to be a member, but I believe can become one when they are having a meeting.

    2. DA’s Deli shares a wall with the Home Depot on the west and Five Guys on the East. Meeting starts promptly at @ 5:30 pm. Come earlier and partake in their buffet or sandwich menu at your expense. They allow us to use their banquet room or free, so it’s nice to partake of the food, which is really good and you take it into the banquet room with you. They raffle a gun at every meeting and also have a 50/50 cash drawing if you purchase tickets at the meeting. Don’t have to be a member to attend, but of course the more the merrier and for a great cause;, protecting our 2nd ammendment.

  2. Greetings all!
One clarification about the Charleston mtg.
Diners will select from two en-tree choices and will be served at their table by waitstaff. They serve on good china, with metal silverware and a cloth napkin!

    Come join us!

  3. Just came from the successful Springfield meeting at Scheels. Good turnout for both meetings and very good information and speakers. Glad to be back with friends. Show your support and be at the next meeting closest to you. Great prizes and good fun. Learn the latest on the attempts by some to steal your freedoms and what you can do about it.
Thanks John Boch and Dale Loch and the rest of GSL
