DEFICIT OF COURAGE CONT’D: Pritzker’s set up to announcing lockdown continuing beyond July 4th weekend has arrived…

May 12, 2020

Back on April 28th, we told everyone that we had two independent sources in the Pritzker administration say that Pritzker planned to continue the lockdown through Independence Day weekend.  And in the last couple of days, Pritzker warmed everyone paying attention up for just that announcement.

From our April post:

Two independent sources inside Governor Pritzker’s administration have confirmed that their boss plans to keep Illinois closed until after the July 4th weekend.

Neither official would talk on record, but both echoed the same potentially bad news for Land of Lincoln residents.  And they cited the governor’s risk-aversion for his paralysis in making moves to open Illinois for business.

Last week, Jay Robert (aka Judgement: Bad) extended his Executive Order and related “rules” and other edicts through the end of May.  However, the gov. has already faced one successful lawsuit blocking his unconstitutional restrictions.  Additionally, a number of sheriffs and police chiefs have announced they have no intention of enforcing Pritzker’s economically disastrous orders.

Behind the scenes and news conferences, Pritzker plans to keep Illinois closed through the end of the Independence Day weekend.

Why?

Because Chicago is the epicenter of Chinese flu cases in Illinois.  And the governor remains utterly terrified that he will be blamed for any surge of infections and deaths that might follow a massive weekend of celebrations in the Windy City and in the collar counties, especially after a spring-time of people cooped up and eager to get out and socialize.

Oh, the skeptics doubted us.  From comments in the above story:  “Sorry. Not buying it. It’s all hearsay and fear mongering.”

Others prayed we had bad info.

Well, folks, were you paying attention to this yesterday?  The Center Square (which should be on your daily “must read” list, by the way) reported it:

(The Center Square) – Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Monday that Illinois has yet to reach a peak in COVID-19 cases and the peak could be weeks away.

During his daily news conference, done for the first time online from his home in Chicago after a staffer tested positive COVID-19 over the weekend, Pritzker said the peak could still be weeks away, possibly in mid-June.

“Compared to the forecast that I shared with you on April 23, which predicted peaking between late April and early May, that time frame of plateauing near a peak has been expanded from mid-May into mid-June,” the governor said. “In many ways, this news is disheartening.”

Despite opposition from Republican lawmakers and some business owners, Pritzker said he plans to stick to his five-phase Restore Illinois plan.

Just passing along information as we receive it.

In the meantime, you can leave your mask at home (assuming you wear it in Illinois in the first place) and drive over to Iowa, Missouri, or Indiana and eat in a restaurant like a civilized person.

After all, JB’s spending his spare time leading from the front back at Lake Geneva, WI.  Meanwhile his wife, Instathot daughter and son are all down in Florida at his $12.1M horsey farm.

Prickster has aspirations of being in the oval office. But he has no chance any longer. He has presided over a pandemic where even with his draconian policies the state has gone from #11 in cases to #3 and it continues to rise.

He has steadfastly refused to report all but the first 2 “recoveries” even though at this point well over 50% of the cases have recovered. 90+% of the cases in the state have been in Chicago area. But at least deaths from overdose have dropped to zero in the same area.

He is a liar, plain and simple.

    Stick a fork in him.

Some days back a reporter mentioned to him that residents were crossing the border to get goods and services in neighboring states. He replied that he was aware of it but “advised against it.”
What an arrogant pig. Does he actually think people are going to not do it because he advised against it?

Meanwhile he sent his family to their Florida home to vacation. Typical tyrannical liberal that thinks rules are for peasants.

If Prickster knew anything about health, he’d take better care of himself and not be looking like a heart attack waiting to happen. The man has no business deciding health issues for others. What a bad example he portrays not to mention his total disdain for his constituents and the rule of law.
